thanks for bringing these to my attention. Was thinking of getting the Matrix Sword but these must be plastic, which will be a lot nicer to figures' arm joints. Also, the blue and purple are all glowy gummi goodness.

edit: for the record, TFSource have them up for preorder too

I grabbed all 3 but I may cancel 1 or 2.

I'll be getting the basic one for sure though, I've been pretty happy with his swords.

:-?
Are we talking about the Star Sabers produced by Dr Wu?

Was there ever confirmation what these are made out of; metal or plastic?
If they are plastic (or a mix), are the blades clear/translucent?

A see through blade would of course make perfect sense as a chromed/coloured metal blade would look odd and be too heavy, if their Metal Storm blaster is anything to go by? :???:

Hope these are plastic. the diecast is nice but if the figure doesn't have ratchets joints it gets floppy..

Also if these are plastic... why is chrome plastic more expensive then diecast? Is that just the norm?

Companies use poor metals (aluminum, copper) in die-cast. If toys are actually chromed with chromium, then it is going to be relatively more expensive.

Just preordered all 3 from TFSource! The gray and blue ones for FE OP, the purple one for SG Battle Tanker OP.

I love that these swords are 17cm. They're taller and heavier than the average deluxe and cost about the same!

QFT...Tired of the heavy die-cast. :BANG_HEAD: These do look nice though! I have the blue one preordered.

I'll agree with that, too. It's nice to have something as substantial as a diecast piece, but it doesn't mean a thing when it's a display item and the damn thing is too heavy for the figure to hold it up. I bought Metal Storm as I've given up trying to find a TFC-005 set at a reasonable price, but there's no way I'm putting that in any figure's hands. Might use it to prop my door open instead.;)

EDIT: Oh yeah. I forgot to comment on the actual topic item. They look good. I'll be getting one or two.:-B
