What a tease. What can it be, and for who? FOC, Classics, MP?

I suspect it'll be Null Rays for classics Starscream and his fellows.

I'd buy that!
Could also be replacement heads for first release MP Seeker mold.
I'd buy that too.

I'm going to guess that this would be for MP SS (or MP Seekers)....

Called it.
BBTS has preorders up for 2 versions, one for Starscream, and another for THundercracker.

Pre-ordered

I've got both MP and Classics versions of both figures so I'm good either way, but I really hope they're for Classics. Their existing rays are nice, but way too big.

Personally I'm holding off until a Skywarp set has been confirmed, then get all three at once. I couldn't stand having two of the main three have nullrays and the other one still having clunky missiles.

Are these for sure for Classics? If so, I'm going to need a lot more than just 2~3 sets. I've got like 12 seekers in need of proper null rays (standard, coneheads, 3 clones and 3 rainmakers). Hopefully Dr Wu will milk these the same way they did for their TF:Prime FE guns and swords, with 100 different versions/variants for all of the available versions of the figure.

Preordered, the available 2 but at $16 a set I may only deck out my main 3.
I'd like to get these for all my seekers (minus the coneheads, they should have different weapons) but that would add up pretty FAST.

These blasters looks exactly the same as the Coronation Custom Upgrade Kit! spend a few more bucks and add wing articulation, a crown and a cape?

People bitch and moan about toys not having firing missiles, then replace firing missiles with these first chance they get

(not saying you guys are among them, just remembering a thread from the toy forums)
The missiles are a bit bulky, but still look fine. So this seems like a waste of money to me.

The main complaint about the Classics Seeker Null Rays is that they're too bulky in that you cannot achieve great poses with them because anything between 30 and 150 degrees of motion and you need to compromise the wing position in robot mode.

Come across that myself, but not to fussed. If the seeker mold had been voyager size and had this problem then I'd probably be on board. For small deluxes, gotta pass.

Indeed. One of the things I liked best about the coronation set mentioned by mooncake623 is the added wing articulation. Of course, that hardly mattered when I added the cape and shoulder pads.

I've got several Seekers. I don't know if I have 30, but I probably have about 15 at least.
There's no way Dr. Wu will arm all of them. I mean, there've been 3 versions of Starscream alone. Logically, he'll probaly choose the latest ones - the ones in the box set. But the CHMS Seekers, the Botcon ones? ANY of the older official releases?
Sorry, but as well thought out as this is, I gotta pass.

I've no use for the extras. I don't even use the coronation set that came with MP-11. All I want are the null rays and I need them in the appropriate colors so I don't have to paint them for each seeker. Dr Wu wins hands down.
Hopefully the good Dr will also grace us with sets for the coneheads (I'm betting he will if history has taught us anything, that guy loves milking these weapons).

I'd rather just have the wing articulation thingamies and be done with it. Who needs less obtrusive null rays when you can just move the wings out of the way anyway!
Oh, and sell them in packs of 3.

Not a bad idea, but that still doesn't work for me. The null rays are just plain too damn big in my opinion and don't look right. The added articulation (thanks to the null rays being smaller) is again just a bonus, so these guns are a must.
I was going to get Renderforms new null rays which have been listed as upcoming on his site for ages, but since Dr Wu got to them first, that's who I'm going with instead.

These look good, so I'm on board. Even if a Skywarp set never materialises (but why wouldn't it?) these sets are cheap enough to risk early adoption.
As for which versions they'll go with, I'm predicting they'll be as generic as they can while still being distinctly Starscream/Thundercracker, with maybe immensely toned down colours. There's too many versions out there to risk appealing to just one market.

I actually find the larger cannons to be rather endearing for the mold, especially given it's small-ish size. It really is moreso the wings inability to accommodate them that bothers me... that and swept back wings just look beter.

I don't display my Classics Starscream with the Coronation Gear either. Just the Null rays and the new wing pieces. take a look at the TF source review those wings pieces is so good. Also I think they had these for like 20 bucks for a long time.. Just thought they are a better value for the money.
