MasterShooter Shooter Masters

A set of toys that seems to have taken inspiration for their name from the mayor of Sombertown... The MasterShooter Shooter Masters, that I'd almost forgotten I'd pre-ordered back in February of 2012, seem to finally have shipped! I just got an e-mail confirming this.

(Damn... I've moved in the last year... Fortunately, I still have access to my old address, but it is a wee bit annoying.)

It's about frickin' time :P. I'm still waiting on the two Autobot and Decepticon sets (the ones for the original characters, not the ones for the characters who already existed and just became targetmasters). Hopefully this means those will be shipping soon as well because my figures feel naked without their targetmaster partners ;).

No pics ? No reference to which dealer got them in ? Nothing in my e-mail from captured prey yet...

He linked to Captured Prey and posted a large pic, can you not see them? Maybe try refreshing the page or something, perhaps parts of his post didn't get through for some reason.

I've not been keeping up with these, what toys/characters are they for?

Bolt Action, "The Hot Steel Rod" = Firebolt, Hot Rod's Targetmaster partner.

BrOOMstick, "The Sweeper" = Fracas, Scourge's Targetmaster partner.

Minute Bot, "The Quick Shot" = Haywire, Blurr's Targetmaster partner.

Shot Piece, "The Old Timer" = Recoil, **** Piece's, er... Kup's Targetmaster Partner.

I never checked the actual link. Im just basing my comment on the fact that my Captured Prey order isnt shipping yet. Maybe because I ordered the exclusives and the core set all in one order.

I was referring to these and these.

They are for Crosshairs, Pointblank, Sureshot, Misfire, Slugslinger and Triggerhappy.

As I said, I'm not bothering with the ones for the characters that were not always targetmasters (Kup, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge).

I'm in the same boat as you, X. Sidecutter already confirmed (on that other board) that the exclusives have further delay, so hopefully it's only a few weeks shy of being received and us getting a box full of weapons.

I've got TM's for Hotrod and Cyclonus and not really interested in getting them for the others. I am thinking about getting this set and partnering them up with a jet and helicopter for the Mayhem Attack Squad I'm putting together.

Those are tempting, but I don't have anyone to partner them with, and fingers crossed there will be 3P versions showing up at some point

Thanks for the response guys.

I've got Targetmasters for those two as well. Hot Rod has one thanks to Fansproject. (Two, actually, since I also have Blesser.) So I'll end up with an abundance of Targetmaster options for Hot Rod, I suppose.

Cyclonus, of course, came with one direct from Hasbro. Not sure why you felt the need to point out Cyclonus, however, as he isn't one of the four that this set of figures is designed to accompany.

I'm not sure why it matters to you so badly.

I was just stating what TM's I had and that I didn't care that my other pre-TM characters didn't have these. No need to get your panties in a knot :P

My panties are not in a knot. Hell, I've only the one pair, and haven't worn them in years, so I should think they're just neatly put away right now. (Been a long time since my days in the Rocky Horror shadow cast.)

In case you need it:

So no bunching here. I was simply stating that, even though I am getting these four guys, like you I too already have a Targetmaster partner for Hotrod, while expressing confusion as to your bringing up Cyclonus the way you did since he had not in any way previously been mentioned and is not one of the official figures that these third party Targetmaster partners are intended to go with.

Ah, well. A pleasant evening to you in any event.

Good advice, thank you

I'm very tempted to get the set of 4 and repurpose them. Going by the images I've seen these look like they have clips for attaching, any chance they have 5mm ports?

Wait, if it's not for Cyclonus, who is it for? It has to be unless they're turning someone into a Targetmaster that isn't one. All of the other Targetmaster characters are accounted for by the other two sets, so this set must be for Kup, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge. There are no others.

Ah, it's for Blurr. I forgot he was a Targetmaster too :P

The description on Captured Prey's website includes:

Captured Prey's Website wrote:• 4mm or 5mm peg-hole compatible, works with almost every official Transformers figure!
• 3mm clip weapon system compatible, with included adapters, for even more compatibility with modern figures!

So it looks like they each have a clip and a peg.

When it says, "4mm or 5mm peg-hole compatible," I don't know if it means that the figures each have interchangeable / multiple pegs, they have double-posted pegs, or different figures have different peg sizes based on the needs of the main figure they are intended to go with. Guess I'll find out soon!

I'm pretty sure the lower part of the peg is 4mm and the upper edge of the peg where it meets the gun/figure is 5mm.

Thanks guys. I figured screw it, and pre-ordered the set of 4 :D

Glad to see these little guys are finally getting shipped and if they look half as good in hand as they do in Peaugh's review, it'll have been worth the wait.

If you recall, I mentioned that they were being sent to an old address I lived at when I ordered them over a year ago... Aparently they arrived today. Hopefully I'll have a chance to go pick them up tomorrow. Whenever I do pick them up, I'll be sure to share my thoughts on them.
