Hardbone looks really cool and has a lot of features. More bang for your buck than FP's Code, but more bucks for it in the first place... I was hoping Toyworld would be doing the ones FP doesn't give us, but looks like people will be getting a choice here.
Liking the faceplate. I'd be nice if FP came out with some recoloured heads with the alternate faceplates for their guys, but looks like if you want the faceplate on Brainstorm, this is the one to get. Looks like a nice enough figure, but I think I'll stick with FP's one, as it's likely to be smaller and cheaper than this one.

So now comes the wonderful game of guessing what the name will be. I propose it should maintain Toyworld's standards for naming figures. So lets call him BS which is short for Brainstorm.

Damn, I liked "BS" better. I pre-ordered it anyways but that alt mode looks mistransformed.

Yeah, I don't think they have everything pegged in. You can see that the engines, towards the right side of the pic, is drooping.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on this one, but I am now loving FP's alt mode much, much more. Maybe a proper transformation would help this one. But I already have a bad X-Wing crossover transformer...
May the fourth be with you!

The alt mode looks
terrible
Bot mode isn't too bad, but lacks detail and FP's version
seems to have less kibble. Sticking with FP and will only get any gap fillers from TW.
Also, couldn't care less about the faceplate

All I see are protos for both FP and TW... I'll reserve my judgement when they have them colored.

I think TW could have put a lot more detail into there offering comparing the two pictures FP has the better aesthetic on this one for me just gives loads more character, TW almost reminds me of xtransbots style of figures and TW alt modes front end looks too chunky and of almost no effort in design

but as you said colour brings things full circle when making the final decision and saying that the reason i haven't bought there hard head yet is due to the green they chose.

HA! **** that!

Since when did Brainstorm's alt-mode equal an X-Wing fighter chop-shopped with Sixshot?
This one is beyond a pass for me. Ultra class just about worked for Hardbone, but no way would I have Brainstorm stand taller than nearly every other 'Bot. (I say that knowing full well Brainwave's size hasn't been confirmed, right?) FansProject's Function X figures are smaller, cheaper, have crisper lines and (from what we've seen) more complex transformations. Hardbone didn't even have a face reveal.

FP ftw!

The alt mode is still butt ugly . The figure looks very nice in colour i really like it but as iv'e said FP wins.
Also interesting style of melee weapon for brainstorm.

Those are some huge eyes he has. Very distracting to me, but I don't have any problems with the alt. mode or even the bot mode. Why aren't they showing a full picture of the Headmaster on its own?

Yeah, the X-Wing alt mode ruins it for me (and I'm a Star Wars fan.) The Bot mode, for the most part, looks good!

I gotta double dip. I need that faceplate. But also gotta get Fansproject Brainstorm
just in case Toyworld doesnt do the other two. I want a set of four all in one scale. I have Hardbone and Code already. F**t it.

I personally like the difference in size; it adds more dynamics to a shelf. I don't mind the lack of faceplate, especially if that faceplate comes with those deep, soulless eyes...

I guess Im just so caught up on the Rebirth. But would you argee that longer wings would make the x-wing fighter better looking. A 4th party fix maybe down the line would be nice...

I hate that alt mode. Nothing can can make it look right (and I'm a massive Star Wars fan myself). The other problem I have is his size, can put up with an over sized Hardhead seeing as he is a tank (and FP don't seem to be making him), but Brainstorm and the rest need to be smaller on my shelf. FP wins by default unfortunately.

Code is my single favourite FP release and the upcoming Headmasters look to be just as good (I'm guessing it is entirely due to whoever they got to design them). Everything else has been plagued with design or QC issues, so I've reached the point where I'd rather go with
anyone other than FP, but just can't this time.
