SXS Has given us a design sketch hinting at their next figure after their Gears figure. It is none other than G1 Blurr!

interesting. i've not gotten around to getting Blue Drift yet, and this one is definitely more relevant to my interests. will keep my eyes open for more info, and reviews on the quality of their Gears toy.

YES! I do like the IDWesque Drift repaint/remold, but I would love a more G1 hovercraft Blurr.

I didn't like their Gears but I love this.

I don't feel the need to spend 75 bucks, assuming this guy will go for the same price as their Gears is.
Blurr is a neat character, but I feel he's represented well inough in his Generations mode.

Nice sketch, and I like how they incorporate the hood as a shield.
"Continuously Variable" is the code-name for SXS's Gears homage, so you probably want to remove it from this thread's title. Speaking of, that guy is coming out soon and I hope there are some reviews to get me to purchase.

I haven't felt dissatisfied with Gen Blurr, but I might pick this up anyway.

Look cool has me interested unlike there gears which was just too blocky this actually looks like it could be good.

Blurr to me has always been one of those characters that deserves his own unique mold, and certainly not one as pedestrian as the Generations figure. I'd have preferred IDW's pre-Earth design, but I'm certainly game for this so long as the word on their Gears figure is good.

I don't mind it, but as Sodan eludes too, if he had the IDW twin engines on his shoulders instead of the G1 stumps, that would have been better.

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that SXS R-01 is MP scale? If that is the scale their going for then this guy would be about the same size as Classics OP and Megs...
If that is true, then a Blurr that looks like it would fit with the Classics figures but is too big and is well scaled for the MP shelf but isn't show accurate, easy pass.

I am really starting to dislike figures that have parts that turn into shields or strange looking guns. And this figure has a giant shield! It's an easy cop-out and grazes being a part-former.

It's also a direct homage to the G1 figure.
As I read through these posts, I came across Arctorro's mention of the scale being MP/Voyager. That's too big for me. If it's deluxe, I may just have to bite.

People are saying Gears is MP scale because he's a minibot compared to MPs. This will likely be a deluxe; just like their Gears.

It could be engineered like Cybertron Soundwave...

I am not familiar with that figure. Is the shield part of his hand?

No, it's under the forearm. However, you could have him curl his arm so it becomes shield-like. Just like this Blurr, the shield is the hood of the alt mode cockpit.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. That would acceptable to me if that is how Blurr turns out.

Is there official word if this is Generations deluxe/small voyager or if it is MP scale?
