From KFC's Facebook page. Mugan Scope ,aka Perceptor. First in the E.A.V.I. Metal line from KFC.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=150532365134143&set=a.150532335134146.1073741829.100005321405849&type=1&theaterhttp://en.wikialpha.org/wiki/Keith%27s_Fantasy_Club
he is a full size robot this time. the approximate height will be 14.5cm, and a cool triple changer!
this is not a car - robot ,this time, going to be G1 transformations bud.
he do with cross hair eye
enjoy,I will post more teasers soon.
So it looks like G1 Perceptor with more articulation and an updated face, about 6 inches tall.
I would guess that "Mugen Scope" (aka Fantasy Scope) is Perceptor, Akuma Scope (aka Devil Scope) is the black repaint (Magnificus, aka SG Perceptor) and "The Surgeon" would be a reference to Dark of the Moon Scalpel?

I currently have no Transformers on-hand, is 6 inches going to put this at taller than most deluxes?

Modern deluxes? Probably. Prime Kup is about 5 and a half to 5 and three quarters inches high. Some of the original deluxe Classics stand right about 6 inches. This could fit nicely in a Classics/Generations shelf, I think.

I'm quite satisfied with Hasbro's Perceptor and upcoming Magnificus. I feet no need to get this figure.

Pretty much this, though I know a certain poster who will likely be all over this...

I know I'm all over it.
With Magnificus being priced as he is, this may be cheaper option in the long run.

seems a superfluous figure to make to me, particularly when there are still some Autobots without a deluxe figure to their name (Skids)

Figures like Skids may be avoided in anticipation that Has/Tak may yet produce a Generations line version.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Skids as a repaint of either Ironhide/Ratchet or the new Trailcutter/Hoist molds.

Urgh, that would be horrible. I will keep using my Binaltech version as a stand-in.

It makes sense for 3rd parties to gazump Hasbro, not wait until they have an established figure which is pretty decent, as is the case with Perceptor.
I men, how would FansProject have made out with Defender if there was a decent Hasbro version already available?

1). That's a badass looking Skids you have
2). Overall, the answer is not that cut and dry. Specific to FP's Defender compared to Generations Springer, I think it would've been an early death to FP (or at least caused them to cancel the figure). Defender has some good qualities, but for 1/4 the price you get a great figure in this new Springer.
In this case, I'm wondering if either that many people are upset with RTS Perceptor or if KFC feels that their product is vastly superior than the official version (or at the very least, is worth the mark-up price of buying 3P).

be interesting to see who The Surgeon is. I'll have to see pricing details before I get properly excited. I have the Hasbro Perceptor, and it's pretty decent in bot mode. Although the shoulders are a bit of a pain and I'm never quite sure I'm doing his backpack right.
I'd quite like a G1-esque microscope/tank-thing transformation though. If only to re-enact the scene in TFTM where he totally has Megatron right in his crosshairs for plenty of time to kill the guy, and doesn't take the shot. Don't blame Hot Rod for Prime's death, blame Perceptor.
so yeah, if it's MechIdeas Jumpstarters type pricing, I'd be interested.

The price has to be right. A Perceptor that's less Hasbroish would be pretty cool. But there's a lot of characters on my classics shelf that need improvement more than Perceptor. I would rather have seen them take a crack at Soundwave or Shockwave.

Aren't we getting a downsized Shockwave from FansToys in the next year or so?

That's what they say, but until the pre-orders up I wouldn't get my hopes up...

As much as I didn't like the Hasbro Perceptor having a vehicular altmode and it's b!tch of a transformation, I got over it. I would love a microscope in my collection again but if it cost more than $50, it better be a working microscope! Magnification X50 or higher!

This is the Perceptor I always wanted. Can't stand the RtS version, crap alt mode and a painful transformation. I'm not a fan of what KFC have done so far, so quality and price will have to be spot on for me to get this.

That's awesome! Didn't know Binaltech Skids looks that good in Classics...
Was Skids always that big? I know he is a bigger bot in MTMTE but I can't quite remember him in the G1 cartoons. either way pics awesome!
This Preceptor looks good, but I'll have to see if it's worth replacing my RTS Preceptor which looks awesome in bot mode and if you don't move him.... which I don't

The pic looks good. But like I said earlier, it's all depends on the price. I got the united version with the Hasbro chrome parts and Igear gun. There are other Hasbro molds that suck more and need a 3rd party intervention. The hype for Perceptor just isn't there anymore. It's like if they make a Warpath that transforms into a proper WWII tank instead of an "H" tank. It would be nice, but not a breakthrough in characters Hasbro refuses to make.

Really gotta see it in color. But so far it looks kind of scrawny. Too many lines and points going on, not much of an improvement over Hasbro. Maybe I might buy it to display in microscope mode if it's under 50 bucks.
