Well... that's about a billion times better than any Roadbuster we've gotten.

Wow, way to make the Roadbuster I made look like crap, FP!

Seriously, if they're the same size (or close to it) I may have to pick up the Voyager Whirl now!

That looks kinda crap... And add FP's hit and miss quality in recent times I'm more inclined to pass on this.

Very disappointed at the sight of this. Vehicle mode looks more like a moon-buggy than a rough and rugged half-track. Robot mode looks very wide and very flat. It needs to have a wicked ace up it's sleeve at this point. Right now I think ToyWorld's Hardbone would make a better Roadbuster.

One of the few who likes the look of this. Kinda think the flat surfaces and hard angles with the design ideas from the original toy.

Well it doesnt exactly blow my socks off. Think I'll wait for HasTak to partner up their forthcoming whirl.

hmm... good point. Don't want another repeat of buying $100 figure to have Takara/Hasbro one up them with a $25 figure. Ahhh I still want it. Damn Wrecker shelf just want to keep looking nicer..

I've been a huge supporter of FP, but this is the second time that I am not feeling it. (The other one being their powermaster homage.) The alt mode just doesn't look cool enough. And I really expect beefier arms and legs from the bot mode.

I feel that I have better Roadbuster options for the moment, and like others have expressed, perhaps there is a classics version on the way at some point.

I'm not sure about this guy. On one hand, his robot mode is almost exactly like his G1 self. On the other, I can't help but think that Hasbro is going to one-up his in a few months.

You're right Mkall, we'll have to see if Hasbro does a Roadbuster. Only then can we (as fans) decide which is better. Personally, i'm gonna wait and see.

Edit:
I currently use my G1 Roadbuster on my CHUG shelf.

Is there any specific reason you think Hasbro will tackle Roadbuster or are you just wishful thinking? I mean, we just got the Ruination version from them. I know Hasbro double dipped on Whirl but I assume that is only bc of his comic popularity. Its been a while since Roadbuster has made an appearance in the current ongoings.

Btw, I love FP's version. I agree that its a little thin but this is the definitive Roadbuster I have been waiting on. Can anyone see where the Heartmaster plugs in?

It's all wishful thinking, but up until IDW's MTMTE, Whirl and Roadbuster were always a pair, also Whirl is more of his G1 self than his IDW self so time will tell...

Okay, that looks a little better. That pic of him doesn't make him look quite so spindly. However, I'm going to need to see more pics of the alt mode that make him look better before I'm convinced.

he looks like he fits right in with defender. which makes me wonder how long ago was this designed?
And no prototypes which means hes going to be out soon?

looks decent, not sure I'll be getting it though. plenty of other things I'd rather spend money on.
