I like it. Hope to see some more info as this develops.

Interesting, but I hope FP puts their resources into getting more of their Function X (Headmaster) line out. If this guy gets dropped somewhere in the middle, I'll be okay with that.
Cool that engineering is to a point where every mode doesn't look like a blocky mess.

I'm not sure about this one. Some bits just don't look right to me. I hope MMC does this character at some point.

Overall he looks okay, but I'm worried he might be kinda on the small side (at least when compared to Hexatron).

It's an interesting looking figure, but I have no knowledge of the character(s) it's homaging so it's going to have to seriously impress me. The head of the beast is awful though.

It's from the middle Japanese trilogy, Masterforce. I think this looks cool, and I will definitely be getting him unless MMC or someone does him better. He won't scale well with Hexatron, but I don't recall the two of them being in the cartoon together.

Hexatron is more on the MP side... From what I can tell from the pics, this will be Voyager-ish.

If memory serves, G1 Quickswitch's toy is also much smaller than G1 Sixshot's.
I like this and I'm looking forward to see where it goes

Works for me bc according to the Quickswitch commercial, he is supposed to be Sixshot's son. I'm curious to see it in color. The drill tank is the only mode that isn't doing anything for me.

Hmm. I like a couple modes but having a tough time loving them all. Gun mode, boat mode, and drill mode need to step their gear up.

Well, if you've ever seen the cartoon, you might change your mind.
In my opinion, these modes pretty well match the non-awesome modes from the cartoon.

Oh god, were the cartoon modes that bad? I need to rewatch them. I honestly don't remember.

I assume you guys are referring to one of the Japanese series, right? I don't recall ever seeing him in the US G1.

I thought Quickswitch did have an appearance in the old Marvel run? Even if it was a single page one...
Anyway, Sixknight would be a different character, a lone warrior with no allegiance from the Masterforce series, until he fights Ginrai and then sides with the Autobots (still he doesn't ever wear an autobot symbol).
Same mold, different country, and thus different character and colours.

Correct. As synapse just mentioned, he's from Masterforce, the middle series of the Japanese Trilogy.
I'm having trouble connecting to YouTube right now. If I get a chance later I'll see if there is a vid of this guy. (Unless someone beats me to it...)

He doesn't look that bad in animated form. It's the G1 toy that's a tad bit funky lookin'.

Thanks, guarayakha! There, the modes don't look too bad. There were other scenes, especially in boat mode and plane mode that just looked awful. When he was flying there was this weird cockpit thing hanging down. Indeed, you are correct that the toy looks even worse.
Still, I think FP does a nice job of making lemons into lemonade. The modes homage Sixknight well but still look decent in many respects. I never liked Transformers drill tanks anyway, though Twintwist might be the exception.
[Edit] Oh, and I never liked the huge wings off the back of the head.

I actually liked the character, Sixknight. But, then again, I like the idea of a ronin transformer anyway.

Oh, I'm definitely with you there. I never had a problem with the character. It was just that the modes should have been cooler, I thought. Sixshot was always very cool looking, in my opinion. I felt that Sixnight/Quickswitch was starting to show what I perceived as transforming laziness in the Pretenders, Action Masters, and some of the main line transformers like Predaking. (Though, again, I loved the Predacons as characters.)

Not a very flattering pic. I have a feeling this is a FP purchase I may regret, but hopefully future pics will change my mind.

I'm kinda in agreement with you. They're cramming a lot of stuff into so little a figure.
