Just got an e-mail from iGear this morning, soliciting pre-orders for another run of their elusive Masterpiece style Coneheads:

From info I've gathered listening to others try to obtain this set, they're paying at least $200 - 300 more than the asking price of $460 now that the set is out of print. This is a VERY opportune time to get the set, and I can vouch that the quality of these figures is very high. With Takara back in the saddle to promote their Masterpiece line, it's possible that official Coneheads are planned for further down the line. I'm guessing the next open MP slot (after Bee and Wheeljack) won't be until mid 2014. So, you can play the waiting game, or just make an order now to get all 3.

I got the same email. The new price is about $120 more than what I paid back in 2011 when I bought them from TF Source.

Glad I got them then as they are really nice figures along with Sun Storm. Did some re-arranging last weekend to make room for Acid Storm and all the seekers in a row is pretty sweet.

They are tempting, but with all the stuff that is being released atm I really can't justify the expense and Takara will most likely do a better job in the future. Hopefully when I've got more cash to spare.

Maybe it is time i sell my extra iGear Thundercracker and Skywarp
