So now we're getting into figures from other series too eh? I think Phase B is a character from a Brave series, and of course Sky-Byte.

I wonder if Bandai (who I think does Brave) is more litigious than HasTak?

Well .... they look like nice combiners. But I'm not into whatever this is from, so I'll pass.

Curious to know if there's anyone who'll pass on Botcon Skybite in favor of this one.

These don't look like combiners to me, just a bunch of shark themed figures.

If it WAS a combiner I may be more interested .... but only a little.

Neat, but I'll be saving this money.

Personally I'm tempted on the Captain Shark figure because he'd fit well with my Star Seeker faction, arrrrrr...

Yeah, mistyped there. Freudian slip, I was thinking of Bruticus when I typed this.

Hmmm, some of those alternate colour schemes look like they may be going for Sharkticon homages too. And an Arcee one, WTF? Oh well, that would still be more palatable than the IDW Arcee. Although possibly not scary enough.

I would buy Skybyte but not the repaints. This is way better than Botcon Skybyte.

TakaraTomy still owns the Brave series toy molds, but in a strange twist Bandai owns the animes via their acquisition of Sunrise. The confusion isn't unfounded, as the designs were by Sunrise's Kunio Okawara, known for his work on Gundam.

The character in question is Captain Shark, from Brave of Gold Goldran

Ahh, thanks for sorting that out.

I found out about these a couple weeks ago. Definitely getting Sky-byte, debating on Captain Shark, depending on cash.

id be interested to see actual sharkticon colors, but even then. with unique toys and igear id probably still pass. and as far as skybite goes, we're getting a brand new (nonexclusive) mold, not to mention i have no issues with the original. why bother? time could be better spent making allicons.

I got a preorder for the Captain Shark version. I may put it with my Star Seekers. I don't have much need for the others. Especially with Hasbro's Sky Byte coming out.

Being the cheapo, poor sonuvabitch I am, I'll be more than happy to wait and see how the official Generations Sky-Byte goes.

Though the pirate guy looks interesting. Is he based on a previous Transformers character, or something else entirely? That'll be the dealbreaker for me.

The Captain Shark themed one appeals to me simply because of it's relation to Brave, though given that I haven't watched Goldran I'm not that keen on the character. Did Goldran even get subbed? I haven't looked around for many Brave series beyond Exkaiser, J-Decker, and GaoGaiGar.

I hope Has/Tak do a Cybershark repaint/retool. I always preferred the original color scheme over that of RiD Skybite:

No thanks,The 2014 30th Voyager Skybyte toy,I'll be buying instead.

Judging by that Comparison pic with MP-10. The KFC skark in bot mode looks like its a almost Eight inch Ultra scaled toy.

I might have bought the KFC Shark-bot in Skybyte colors. Had the HasTak 30th Skybyte toy not got made.

If I wanted something that somewhat looked like this. I might buy the TF G0 Ninja skark bot voyager scale toy. Still wondering if the alt mode is a whale or shark. seems kinda fat to be a shark. the Takara toy name seems like a whale species name. The toy colors look more whale than shark.

Think it's odd the KFC Captain Shark toy has a Spanish name. It seems like its overly implying that most real pirates years ago & now are Spanish or Latin.

The Cybershark colors seem lower quality & uglier compared to the Rid Skybyte Premium colors.

Cybershark is easily forgetable. More fans want the Skybyte & Gnaw colors on shark bot toys.

Even TFCC didn't want to do any Cybershark colors on the Botcon repaints. This is bad,as these guys are infamous for doing all those Obsecure TF character toys repaints.

If HasTak does a repaint for 30th Skybyte it will be in Gnaw colors & name. Maybe with a new head.

3rd parties won't be interested in doing shark bot repaints in Cybershark toy colors. Because they estimate the ordering numbers will be so insanely low.

Is that a Mustache & beard? Face is ugly. Face doesn't even try to look like 2001 Rid Skybytes face sculpt.

At least KFC didn't use the bent in the middle shark mode design like HasTak's 30th Skybyte toy has.

While I like Bulky TF toys. These KFC Shark bots toys are too insanely bulky blocky for my taste. Robot shoulders & shark face torso are too oversized compared to the rest of the parts on the robot mode.

Sculpt in both modes looks weird & bad in some areas.

Having Twenty-Five percent of the shark mode overly sticking out like that on the Robot torso just looks bad as far as robot sculpt goes.

The shark mode looks vastly better than the robot mode. Robot mode looks overly simplified in sculpt & engineering. Robot mode looks like a secondary after thought that was built around the shark mode. Robot mode looks like it made a lot of sacrifices to make the shark mode look superior in sculpt.
