This looks fun. So just about EVERY new Generations toy is getting an add-on these days?

Dr Wu is pumping out the add-ons these days

Dr. Wu has a good system. He is good with 3D modeling and owns a small 3D printer, and makes the small items at home on his 3D printer, then mails the prints off X-Moldings to make metal molds. Gets the prototype back, assigns the colors, has a guy who designs the art for the boxes, slaps them together and ships them off.

Dr. Wu has said that the reason he can't make anything too big is because he only owns a smallish 3D printer. So he's sorts stuck with tiny robots and weapons. Would be neat to see what he could do with a better setup.

hmm... that's pretty interesting.

I have to admit, that when I saw this title (and read the comic) I was pretty disappointed. I thought, really? A cane?

Then I saw the pics.

That rifle. The way it incorporates the cane. I think I gotta have this one. Darn you Dr. Wu!!

(As a quick aside, I saw a 3D printer demo the other week, on a fairly cheap printer. It was awesome! We are not far away from being able to do this ourselves. Put the right color plastic or get on our madd paintings skillz and we can all customize our own bots even easier. I think the future might be in trading add-on designs as 3D files. This is closer and more affordable than ever! )

I'm honestly ok with his current business model. There aren't a lot of pre-made accessory makers out there. There's Renderform, who is quite sporadic and slow in his releases. Guilty is gone once it was discovered where their designs came from. Artek is new and we haven't heard much from them recently.

A couple others have only released one set and have vanished.

I've no love for the new BB design, but this would probably work fine with WFC Bee, so I may get it. That rifle mode is sweet, and even the pistol on it's own is pretty nice.

Alright, who will be the first to do a pimp daddy BB custom over in Transtopia?

This is really stupid, and that's coming from someone who loves hip hop and pimp culture. But I must admit, the rifle looks good. Maybe worth buying. What I really want is a new head to make the figure someone other than Bumblebee.

I think this would look awesome with WFC bumblebee.
What Comic was that from that has the Generations Thrilling 30s Bumblebee with the cane. (I've previously thought only Bumblebee from RID had the cane..)

I may not use it as designed, but it's a nice looking rifle.

Technically it's an injury he got on Earth that couldn't be adequately fixed with the technology they had. I think he got rid of the cane and got fixed properly back on Cybertron.

Yes, technically Bumblebee is lame. Something we have been trying to convince Hasbro of for years.

It's the IDW Bumblebee Spotlight, which is being re-printed to go with the Thrilling 30 BB.

Without the rifle mode this holds less interest for me.

Oh well, $10 saved.

I don't see the point of this, cause Bee doesn't even look like this anymore.. actually don't even know what to do with my IDW bee now he that he's goldfire..
