They look cool, and if there had been some for the missiles (or whatever they are supposed to be) behind the black panel on the left side of his chest, this would've been a must get. As it is I'm able to pass on it because I really don't like applying stickers.

Ahhh these look awesome... wish I had these before I put on my stickers... which is also awesome but I rather have kept them un-apply and use reproduction labels.

EDIT:: wow this will probably take me 30 hours to apply.....

the stock stickers took me 4.. =X

Wow! Makes for a very busy looking figure! Of course its down to the buyer how much they want to cover their expensive purchase in little bits of coloured sticky paper! ;)

There are currently Eness produced water-slide decals for MP Sideswipe and Red Alert available via Ebay and an Eness thread over on TFW2005 worth checking. :D

Perhaps adding the recently announced Unique Toys Metroplex head and gun set will make this a full on ultimate behemoth!

If these are decals that's even better, they tend to stick better/longer then stickers.

I just got Metroplex last night, and I'd be all over these.

Don't get me wrong, I love Reprobalels as much as the next guy, and have many figures proudly wearing their stickers. But yes... I must say that every time I see this website report something from Reprolabels, I find it a wee bit hypocritical given the otherwise staunch anti-3rd party stance they take. Likewise, by that logic, they should edit press releases from the retailers such as BBTS to remove mention of 3rd party figures when they post such things as news on the front page. Otherwise, one does wonder after their integrity. (Of course, by that logic, such press releases should also be edited to not make mention of, say, the newest Batman toy if they are so adamant that this website is only for Official Transformers as produced or officially licensed by either Hasbro or Takara.)

If you're going to say, "No 3rd Party Stuff (except in one small corner of the forum)!" then stick to it! None of this, "Well, we say no 3rd party... but these guys are a sponsor, so I suppose I can look the other way for a moment," smeg. If you're going to do that, you may as well just it all in!

Suppose after that, I should comment on topic a bit, yes?

My, what a busy label set. I have been looking forward to seeing what Reprolabels may offer, but this could provide an attractive alternative. I suppose it depends on a few things. Price, what Reprolabels does end up having, and what these labels actually are. Some have suggested they may be decals, not stickers. While I freely admit the superiority of water based decals, my (lack of) skills are as such that I would prefer stickers.

Guess we shall wait and see...

It makes sense. The Seibertron.com people have ideals of what to cover, they made a decision based on their ideal, not based on financial need. The sponsors are companies that make money by making their customers happy. A lot of those customers want 3P items.

I mean did you look at the back cover of this year's Botcon comic? It's plastered with pictures of 3P items from the companies who bought the ads! Why? Because the sponsors wanted to advertise them. The TFCC is one of the most anti-3P groups out there, because they work for Hasbro, but they still advertise 3P items in their comics!

Seibertron once stated that he considers Reprolabels to be an "enhancement" rather than an actual 3rd party product. Especially the G1 labels used for restoration purposes. It's not really competition to Hasbro. It's like buying emblems for a 64 Impala. You're not gonna find original. Only reproduction parts hence the "repro" in Reprolabels.

How is that different from Dr. Wu or Headrobots, who only make "enhancements" for ecisting toys by giving them new heads or guns?

Did you just say "water slide" ??? If youre talking about those old school dip in water and apply decals, I gonna pass on this set. A shame though, but I only work with adhesive backed labels. Im sure Reprolabels is hard at work on a set for Metroplex.

I suppose putting a bumper sticker is a little less extreme than swapping out the hood ornament. Affixing decals doesnt send the same message that swapping heads does which is basically saying "Yo Hasbro, your head sculpts suck".

But adding stickers is like saying, "Yo Hasbro, your paint apps suck".

I think the aversion to the upgrade kits is a slippery slope argument. You start with the kits, and then you end up purchasing something that's competing with original IP.

Take Fansproject. They started out with accessories and upgrade armors, and now they have a whole line of original figures. Or more recently, SXS had a few weapons upgrades, and now they have their own Gears figure.

Stickers are more aesthetic... I think it's a weak argument, but Seibertron decided a line had to be drawn, and if you're going to do that, I suppose stickers is as good a place as any.

Of course this is all thrown out the window if money is involved, because the site sponsors advertise full third party Transformers all over the place, and their sale updates make the news page.

Agreed, it's amazing how many people are willing to become hypocrites when money comes into the equation. It's a shame. Power corrupts i guess.

Just looking at this page at the monent I type this I see ads for

Robot Kingdom selling Genesis, Perseus and Uranos
TFsource selling the MP Starscream add-on from TFC, FansProject not-Insecticons and TFC Toys not-Scrapper
Kapow Toys selling Battle Tanker and Hover and Bomber
VNC Toys selling a not-Stunticon

All products seibertron would never cover in the news, but they advertise as for sale to TF collectors.
