As always, thanks for posting!

I couldn't help but hear TJ Duckett in my head when I read through it. Every other sentence ended with m-kay :P

I'm fin with MakeToy's version. I'm glad to see that those who championed its return might yet see it on their shelf.

I''m interested to see how this version stacks up to MMC's.

I just think it's great that this is a project with at least some state-side involvement. A lot of these 3rd Party groups are often self-described fans, but it's a different thing when a well known personality from our community gets to bring us a figure we're excited about.

Hopefully they won't incur any copyright suits.

Excellent news! Is the page up yet, or just the info?

There seems to be some speed bumps in the set-up of the whole thing.
But I think we're still hopeful about this: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transform ... st10147922

I just went with the Maketoys version. When someone is asking for "donations" it's always a bad sign. And a "kickstarter page" ? Really ??? It sounds like someone with big plans but no money to finance them. Just my opinion. I hope I'm wrong. I would like to buy this somewhere down the line from a reputable dealer.

That's exactly what it is. ;)

I'm willing to give them a chance, but want more information before I do so.

It might be a better idea for them to sell their blueprints to somebody who has the resources to get the job done. Sure they wont get maximum profit in the long run, just a one time payout. But then again, their design is based off of someone else's work anyway.

I'm not putting much faith in this one. I've already paid for MakeToys' figure, and MMC's is looking sharp from what we've seen. I won't be investing any time or desire in a figure which may or may not happen, and that I think is looking slightly outdated anyway.

From what I understand, they're planning on updating the original design - a lot has happened since plans for the original one fell through.

I'm curious as to how it's going to look, but I'm currently in for MMC's version.

I doubt I shall be getting either this or the Maketoys version, as this is not a character I am terribly interested in. If I did have to choose, however, I would go with this one. I'd rather have a third party figure that is a completely original mold, rather then what Maketoys has done. (That cab section, while not a direct copy, is a little too obviously reverse engineered from Hasbro's RTS Laser Optimus Prime mold for my comfort...)

There still appears to be no update on this, which is a little frustrating. :(

I would so buy this figure repainted and retooled (new head at least) as Beast Wars Neo Cybertronian Big Convoy (assuming they beat Perfect Effect, who's been sadly silent about theirs since the first teaser).
