I'd forgotten about this set. This might be enough to convince me to get Generations Grimlock after all.
Although that head sculpt has a rather quizzical expression on it.

It looks good, but in all honesty it's not that big an improvement to justify the cost IMO.

I quite agree. If they just sold the chest filler for $10, I'd consider it.

I guess I'm in the minority - I've had this on preorder for some time.
Those large weapons are exactly what I was hoping for.
WFC Optimus gets his outsized Carnage Axe... it would seem rude to not give Grimmy here the same treatment

Well, I am looking forward to getting the Platinum Edition Bruticus versus Grimlock set in hopes of getting the accompanying Echotransformer set being made for it (X-Transbots are the ones mass-producing it, right?). Perhaps if I do get both the Platinum Edition set and the Bruticus upgrade kit, I guess I might as well get one for Grimlock as well.
But my question is, will it have a Generation One cartoon-accurate visor option? I'm more of a sucker for cartoon-accuracy than toy- or comic-accuracy.

megatronus, please don't make me spend more money than I need to. I'm already flat broke with only ten bucks to my name.

the Chest filler is nice hope they make this for the Takara and Platinum Edition ones.

None of those images load. TFormers doesn't like hotlinking.
Edit: Thanks for fixing. It looks pretty decent. I may be changing my mind on this set.

That's looking good. Very, very good. So good that I've added TG-19 to my Pile of Loot a couple hours back.

I have the Hasbro version, which should do just fine. With a shield that huge, it may become hard to appreciate the metallic bits anyway
Looking forward to this set.

Is there a final price for this kit? Preorders, anywhere?

Thank you

I'll wait a few more days just in case Kapow lists it... if not, I'll get it from one of those 2. Being a spaniard I try not to buy from outside the EU too often... Last time it was Takara Generations senator Ratbat from Robotkingdom and my order was stuck at customs for 2 weeks and then charged more than the toy+shipping costed so my better options now are spanish dealer Iacon Toys or Kapow. No customs insde the EU, fortunately.

Hey, any idea how Iacon is with shipping to the UK? Is it expensive and do they still have to pay customs charges or anything like they do when buying from sellers in the US?

No customs inside the EU, which means no customs for UK. Just like the other way around for us

Sweet, I'll have to tell my friend in the UK about these guys. He's always looking for online retailers with reasonable prices inside the UK to get TFs as they seem kinda sparse (he usually ends up having to pay the somewhat inflated ebay prices).
Thanks again for the info
