A Deluxe Class figure does not need to cost the customer $99.99, which all of their products do.
Can't you say the high price is a function of all 3rd party stand-alone figures?
Not always. I mean, take FP's first run of Munitioner and Explorer. All of those accessories, plus the bots, $50-60.00 a piece. Now, the reissue is more expensive, but there's more paint apps and a whole new transforming bot/accessory to go with it.
While FP's latest offerings have burnt a hole in my wallet, they're still much easier to take on than TFC's stuff. With TFC, you get the figure and accessories that aren't really necessary. (The add on comes later.) With FP, you get everything you needed all in one box.

Not forgetting the add on set needed to improve the flaws and looks of said figure.
Heh, you had the same thought. Those add on kits are ridiculous. What I don't understand is why people keep giving TFC their money when other 3rd parties do it better and for cheaper.

Same here on both counts. Igear is a company I pass on almost all the time. Only things they've done so far were the minibots. And those were bitter pills to swallow.
iGear is absolutely ridiculous. $120.00 a piece for Ratchet and Ironhide? Maybe. They come with a LOT of accessories. $100.00 for Ironhide V.2 with three heads? No. Nope.

Didn't they also do the MP Seekers KOs and the Conehead mod KOs? I'm intrigued by this, but I also wanted to make the Popeye comment. What's this guy been doing that his forearms are so big?

Guess he's opening his own can of spinach.
