Coming Soon Pre-orders of Function X-01: Code Virus Version

First shown at BotCon 2013, we're excited to announce that we will be opening pre-orders for Function X-01: Code Virus Version shortly. Pre-orders start Tuesday, Oct 11th 2013 - 11am CT and will be available while supplies last. This is a limited run and we are unsure if there will be another production run after this is sold out.

For those who are unfamiliar with this product, this is the black version of FansProject's Function X-01: Code. Please note that 2 of the photos above feature a comparison of the black version vs the original. This pre-order will only be for the black version NOT both.

It's still available for order, I guess it's not as sought after as FPC made us to believe.... although compared at the going rate of $150 on ebay, $80 is not bad.

Anyways, Im gonna put him with my Gobots repaints and dub him "Classics Psycho". He will look good next to Van Guardian, Roswell, Fracture, Bugbite, Badboy, and Spoons.

I was thinking of calling him "SARS" at first. But he will be going on my classics Gobots shelf as Psycho. You can flip the chest around Punch/Counterpunch style and flip the cockpit up to look like Psycho's "ccokpit head". It looks pretty cool actually.

That sounds awesome, I may have to display mine the same way. He won't just be a "Nemesis" Code in this manner.

Here it is, my version of Classics Psycho which is the only reason I bought this repaint:

The colors and the miss-transformation really make it work. Even the vehicle mode is not so far off from the concept of a futuristic car.

Or if you prefer something a little more “neo” the mold repaint still has the potential to be a totally new character with the old Punch/Counterpunch trick…

But I prefer him as a Gobot. The crew is getting pretty big now….

Nice! I see what you mean. I remember playing with that Go-Bot at one of my cousins' house. Did you look to see if you can reverse the fists? Or, I suppose you could take some left over guns and create the pincer look of Psycho. I like it!

Thanks. You would have to remove a pin to reverse the fists. Too scary for me. But you can turn them with the top of the hand up to give it a sort of claw look (I forgot to do it in these pics. Or he can hold the guns which really hides the upside down fists in most poses.
