This set seems somewhat ambitious, and I'm not sure how much I like the head.

Still... as with all things Junkion, interested to see how this turns out.

I've got two Hasbro Junkions and there is no way I'm paying 3P prices for a third.

They're upgrade kits, I think. I have both Hasbro Junkions and a Takara Wreck-Garr but I already got a 3rd party kit to give that extra Wreck-Garr a more unique look.

This looks pretty decent really. I just got the Lucky Rogers warrior upgrade set but I still have a couple junkions that could use an upgrade as well. Was going to get the LR medic set but might wait to see how this turns out.

I would buy it. Still waiting on Maiden Japan though. I hope he comes through.

I thought these were upgrades at first, but now I'm not so sure. That greyed out image looks like an entirely new prototype.

If so, I'm not interested. I'd be happy if they released a series of new heads, and maybe a fit on chest similar to Maiden Japan (I have their 3 non-SG Junkion kits, and love them), but I don't need a new figure.

He sucessfully came through with my first two orders giving me the confidence to drop about $450 on a 3rd huge order last November. Then around March he disappeared from the planet. Nobody can find him. Im talking about ordering dirictly from him, not the mass produced stuff.

Upgrade kit or new figure, I'm always up for more diversity in my junkion army.

Price is always the factor though.

It does to me. If not I want my $450 back. I met him in person and he seemed to be a cool guy. I defended him on here when everyone else was dissing him for not furfilling their orders. Now I want what I paid for. I would be ok if he needs another 6 months but I want confirmation he is still alive and is going to furfill my order. I saved all the e-mails and the paypal reciept. Does he have any new avenues to contact him ? Anybody got an order from him directly after March ? Any info anyone has would be awesome...

Oh, just to be clear, I was not referring to the individual you ordered from. I was referring to a commission from a well known customizer for which I paid $200 up front back in 2010 and as of today I have no figure and no refund despite many assurances I would receive "updates" about my figure (including images and such) which never came and eventual requests for info and finally for a refund over the past several months to which I've yet to receive any reply. I guess my smaller commission just wasn't worth honoring (the customizer has continued to put out new work which I know was done well after my commission was put in simply because figures customized/characters done didn't even exist at the time).

So basically I got ripped off. The dude stole my $200 and left me with nothing to show for it.

Their name was mentioned already, though not by me. I did participate in a thread about the same customizer in this very forum a while back which was posted by someone having the same problem as I was. At that time we both got "updates" (more empty assurances) about our figures but shortly thereafter the communications stopped again, at least for me. I don't know how the other guy's commission panned out or if he's still stuck as I am.

I'm into this update. Just recently brought two different Maiden Japan upgrade kits from a online retailer and have the lucky Rodger medic one. a few more upgrade kits and they will all look pretty different =D

Oh also have repolabel's second upgrade set and I have to say they are HORRIBLE. they're already pealing and I bought them and put them on no more than 2 months ago. WTF this has never happened to any other repolabels I've used.

I really love the Maiden Japan sets (I have all 3), and snagged the Lucky Rogers sets from Captured Prey on clearance. So I'm curious to see how this turns out.

I personally keep the Maiden Japan guys up front, and then use pieces of the Lucky Rogers set for all the background dudes. Makes a nice G1-ish, junky display!
