Two recolors everybody wanted and the cage that nobody wanted? That's kinda like getting school supplies along with candies in your stocking stuffer, isn't it?
I didn't think that cage was a KFC product. A Google search tells me that's Xtransbots. I guess we can add Dr. Wu to the list of companies that's secretly CHMS. They must have had a lot of these left over if they're this desperate to offload them.

I'm intrigued by the Wingthing coloured version, but I don't think I want the SG version.

Yeah , clearly milking the mold to keep the interest for later and they will probably will gain more interest this way for the original Ratbat colour.

So SG Ratbat and Wing Thing, eh? I suspect that if they go the route Takara did with their official MP Ratbat of forcing everyone to buy a full sized figure (in this case the Soundwave repaint/retool vs Takara's MP SoundBlaster) it would be a big mistake. They need to sell the standard Ratbat colored version alone. Plenty of people would buy it I'm sure (though not me, because I'm getting SoundBlaster).

As I speculated in another thread, KFC will be selling BadBat on its own after the new year.
First we get the two pack of Mugan Vox with CST-07 BadBat, then we get the Xmas Trio, then we get CST07 BadBat on its own.
KFC may be even more crafty and release the obligatary black repaint of BadBat before they put out
RatBadBat, giving them more time to capitalise on the Mugan Vox sales!

And that horrible MP Ravage will look much better in a cage. The classics version that came with Hound is superior.

Me to. Of course this could be a TF Source exclusive like the FP deluxe insecticons last year right before Christmas. But even those took a while to sell, so no hurry. If BBTS doesnt have them by new years, Ill place an order with TF source.

I'm planning on tossing the cage when it shows up, even at that it amounts to under 25 bucks per cassette, which is average what KFC's other cassettes go for.

I have a cassette display, so I'll toss a cassette or two in there. But it's just such a lame product and, to me, seems like an obvious cash-grab using leftover stock from CHMS' attempted cage.

A little off topic but it's good to see that Hound mold getting some action. The cage accessory makes more sense when used in that context. And to go further off of topic, if you have a classics Hound I highly recommend the reprolabels upgrade set. It's excellent.

I just got Justice Badbat in the mail. Figured out that he is actually a combiner with the Boxbomber mold!
