I would vote for Trypticon and please make it look G1 so it can be displayed with hasbro metroplex. It would sell alot better than anything from those video games no matter how much they charge. Its a shame they dont bring the vote here. I dont have a facebook account.

I dont want to start another debate here, but I gotta point out that their REAL target isnt going to be you or me. Its going to be making money. We saw MMC can the hearts of steel line for classics and look how well they have done since. Im not sure any 3rd party Company is going to spend the next 10 years making characters for a video game that keeps getting older and older ever year. There will be new video games, movies, cartoons, etc. and the next generation of collectors will pressure them to move on to something more current or popular.

Yeah, well, they seem to want to make money by selling toys based off the video game, not the cartoon.

Not that I wouldn't love a cartoon set at Classics size. I'd want that more than ones based off the games. But there's no use in complaining that someone's selling apples when you want oranges (to use a metaphor).

Right now I totally agree with you theres still a market for wfc and foc figures. But im not talking about now, im thinking 5 yeats down the line. There will be a point when wfc/foc will be be too old to be a hot commodity, but too new to be considered "classic" like G1, beast wars, or armada. Thats the catagory the hearts of steel continuity seemed to get. Stuck in when it was dropped by MMC.

By then Planet X will have made their money from people who want these designs, or people who just want ANY set of classics Dinobots (which these can double as, depending on how loose you are with Classics).

I would have been happy to buy the FOC Dinobots and use them for classics Dinobots if they were all the same scale. I just cant get into the whole "Me Grimlock leader so me the biggest" concept. Theyre not combiners. I know it's game accurate, but that's where I start questioning the logic of the game designers. But lets not go there we did this before.

They are the same scale. It's just game scale and not G1 toon scale. :P (yes, I'm making a joke based off the definition of "scale" and "size"; I understand what you're tryign to say)

I do think they are going to make another game. With a NEW Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, etc. That's why I think the window for WFC/FOC figures is closing rapidly. Planet X will have to decide whether to cater to fans of the new game or the old one which by then will be pointless. Or they can just pull an MMC and jump ship altogether and hop on the classics bandwagon that never dies. I called it. Watch in a few years...

Wow so far Trypticon is crushing this with 40 more votes than Snarl, who is 2nd...there goes my classics scale dinobot dreams I think?

I think High Moon Studios hinted that the video games will be a trilogy so I think they are definitely doing one more....

Trypticon looked awesome in the game, in all modes. This would be neat, but unfortunately my accountant may have something to say about spending that kind of money. (I still don't have Genesis.)

If they drop the rest of the Dinobots and go with Trypticon I hope some other 3rd party "swoops" in to finish the rest of them.

The topic title says it all. This isn't about choosing what they will do vs what they won't do, it's just about what they will do next. I'm certain they plan to do all of the Dinobots eventually.

But I (like so many others) want Trypticon first. I've wanted that since I first saw (and eventually purchased) Genesis. If Trypticon turns out half as good and game-accurate then I will be giving them a lot of money (assuming it's as pricey as Genesis, which is fair in my opinion).

TRYPTICON
A new Grimlock
The remaining dinobots
Hound
Springer
Broadside

From this list,I'm voting for & I'd buy a WFC FOC Trypticon that transforms from a T-rex into a Nemesis space ship. I'd even buy a WFC Trypticon that Transform from T-REX into a armed space station & then transforms into a splitting down the middle city attack base.

I don't think a newer Grimlock is needed as HasTak has already released some many decent versions out there in almost all sizes. Lets not forget TF4 will give buyers the leader, voyager & cyberverse toys versions.

TF4 promises to create all the dinobots team. There is also the TFA & BM Dinobots.

Hound already has the Binaltech & Classics toy that are more than passable newer G-1 updates. Hound is also getting that TF4 toy. Takara will eventually do a MP Hound toy.

Springer has those superior FP & 30th toy versions.

Broadside was already done by FP. HasTak is bound to do a Generations Broadside in the near futute.

Yep, they're doing WFC/FOC right now. Once that dries up they'll likely jump over to whatever the new hot thing is or (hopefully) jump to something new that no one else is doing (as they've done with the video games).

As for the comments about the classics bandwagon, I don't think classics will be around in 10 years. I think MP will kill it in short order. I give it maybe 5 considering that just about every single major character has been done by Hasbro already and that the 30 or so third party companies doing TFs right now are mostly focused on classics to fill in the gaps of what Hasbro hasn't done. There's no way this line can keep going for that long unless they get really slow about their releases or something. I mean we don't have too many Powermasters and no Pretenders yet, but those lines weren't that large so it won't take 10 years for that many companies to do that many toys.

The Death of classics! Everyone's always talking about this these days with MP's covering their G1 needs. But I think it'll still be around. Classics these days are IDW comics from HAS/TAK and even when all the characters have been done. HAS/TAK and Third parties will do what they always do make a new version of the same thing..

If they did a Trypticon, I would want it to size up with Metroplex, not their Omega Supreme.

If this happened, it would be extremely cost prohibitive.
