RIFTSHOT & RECOILER
There are many things that can make an Alpha or Beta stand apart from the crowd but the simplest has always been the Crystals, how much power they generate and how much they can hold in reserve.

Known in military circles as “The Twins”, RIFTSHOT and RECOILER are the last, active duty pair with Parallel Resonance crystals. When in proximity to each other these crystals produce an additional 27.3% power output. Riftshot and Recoiler rose through the ranks together, both refusing to accept separate postings. Due to their disparate skill sets this made them difficult to place in the military structure. In the field, the sub space communications link between them makes the two eerily quiet, excellent for covert operations but terrible for squad relations.

RIFTSHOT, ever eager to face down an opponent twice his size, specializes in heavy ordinance and explosives; if it explodes he likes it. Unofficially, he considers himself Recoilers bodyguard.

For RECOILER, how an enemy is dealt with is not important, only that it’s done. Choosing to equip himself with long range weaponry, he has set all of the Alpha distance firing records by a wide margin.

Their skills, along with their often unused excess energy output made them ideal candidates for an offshoot of the PARALLAX project headed by the Soleron Special Projects engineer RAZER called “PROJECT GROUND HAMMER”. The operation was as conceived as a way to provide REVOLVER with field assistance to support his clandestine operations. RIFTSHOT and RECOILER’S frames were extensively modified to match that of REVOLVER, further reinforcing the “Twins” nickname. Publicly these changes were designed to allow for the exchange of modular weapons arrays between the three bots. In actuality, RAZER, acting as Revolvers quartermaster, developed a powerful, short-term use, Parallax-derived armor (see: PROJECT GROUND HAMMER) and conscripted the “Twins” to act as storage and delivery systems. Now permanently assigned to REVOLVER, the duo seem to have found a place that they belong and a leader they respect.

Even if I get FP's Roadbuster, I don't think I'll want these two.

Pretty cool fiction to go along with Recoiler and Riftshot. I enjoy the universe that FansProject has started to create with all of their releases. Count me in, all in, for the Warbot line.

This stuff is inferior. FP needs to put more focus on creating more scramble city combiners.

I'm mildly curious... whether or not I get these two guys will depend heavily on the price tag.

Completely different group of guys working on these. The Warbot line has nothing to do with Crossfire/Causality.

Personally, there are so many other companies pumping out combiners, I'd rather have FP working on other stuff. I'm looking at you War Bugs!

I am mildly interested, but to be honest Rack 'N' Ruin are low on my list of characters I need.

It's not that I don't like this idea for a second, it's just that I can't help but feel slightly cheated into buying essentially the same figure three times in two colours.

And I'll also echo what Doctor McGrath said; where are the War Bugs?

They're certainly different enough than my Rack n Ruin that I may get them.

Maybe I'll give them to my Decepticons. My Mayhem Attack Squad needs some muscle.

Damn it , totally forgot about this thread :BANG_HEAD: just let the one i put up fade away :D

I like these two a ton more than the Road Buster deco that green pops so hard and i like that they give the little guys different heads .

Not sure if i will pick them up but they look really nice.

I'm quite impressed by the extent of subtle differences between the two.

I agree. I prefer these to their Roadbuster counterpart.

Probably because I'm less invested as them as characters, so I'm more inclined to like the mold for what it is.

I doubt I'll be getting them though.
Like I said, I'm not invested in the characters.

This line is quite interesting. Haven't really been paying attention since Defender. Who is the blue guy? Is he a homage to someone?

1) These guys look nothing like Rack'n'ruin
2) They're not conjoined
3) They're too large
4) I'm out

There's something about Riftshot that makes me wish he'd been the primarily orange one...

That's Steelcore Heartmaster, an FP original character.

As am I, especially in the smaller figures.

I love the look of these two. The coloring really pops and they compliment each other in all the right ways for me.

With that said, these guys are not Rack n Ruin. On my shelf they will be two FP originals, Recoil and Riftshot, just like Steelcore.

i wasn't very likely to get these anyway, but again their international shipping charges mean they can stick this right up themselves.

Damn FPC exclusives. I swear I dont have time for this waiting crap. Hopefully I can log in and get em and it doesnt turn into a steelcore fiasco. Code was easy to order since it wasnt that popular.

What happened with Steelcore? I got it without any issues.
I keep hearing people cursing FPC about it what exactly happened?

lol yea $50 shipping is stupid.. it'll cost them nowhere near that much to ship.
