Interesting... Sky Lynx is one of the few G1 toys I never really had the urge to grab a Classics version of. He had decent articulation for what he was. But I'd like keep an eye on this one.Image

That looks awesome. But I am curious to see what a third party can do without the limits of using G1 sky lynx as the base figure. I always said todays custom is tomorrows third party figure. So I stay away from comissions. But dont get me wrong that is an awesome piece you got there.

Tis gotta be a custom. I have Encore Sky Lynx and it's not that big!

It's a 90% scratchbuilt custom, the shuttle exterior is apparently a model, but everything else started as sheets of styrene. Here he is scaled with G1/Encore Sky Lynx

I always felt G1 Skylynx has pretty good articulation, not great but I wouldn't call it a brick.

Wow that's pretty awesome! didn't realize it's that much bigger! Only problem I have with my encore Skylynx is that it won't scale well with Masterpiece Grimlock which I would like to display with my season 3 cast. Yours look like it'll scale great!

Wow Im impressed. I didnt realize it was MP scale. I thought it was the usual modifications on a G1 scale. For me thats really too big for classics. Its more of a real life shuttle scale than cartoon scale. But the amount of work that went into handcrafting each piece of lynx to look like the original but upsized is truly amazing.

Is it even worth the trouble to improve on a sub par toy like 1980's Skylynx? :-? I don't think it is. There isn't much they can improve upon.

Eh? What was subpar about Skylynx? Anyhoo, isn't that the point of giving old characters a do-over? Extra articulation, modern aesthetic etc? Loads of people would be interested in it.

Your logic makes me #-o

I am interested in how this will come out. I never liked the cartoon character, but the toy could use some TLC. My concern is that this guy is going to be $$$.

You know, the ONLY reason I want this is because Return of Optimus Prime was only one of two VHS tapes I had as a kid, and Sky Lynx played a prominent role in that.

Hopefully it turns out well.

I'd have no problem buying this at Hasbro's USA generations or MP TF toy prices. I might be a buyer if this is selling for those cheap KO TF toy prices. I won't be a buyer if it's selling at those 3rd party high prices.
