No thanks,The add on parts on Rumbles chest makes him look like he's feminine & wearing a bra.

What's the point in this,The original toys never combined. Ignoring this,I'm not a fan of any of the combined modes.

Some of these combinations look a bit cool... but I wonder if they look cool from all angles, or just from the ones they are photographed here? I suspect some of these may be kibble nightmares from other angles. Also...

Indeed. I don't really see the need for this, especially with Masterpiece figures which are supposed to be about reliving G1 with accuracy turned up to 11. I don't recall in G1 ever seeing Rumble-Buzz or Lazer-Ravage, and so I don't see why there'd be a need for a Masterpiece version of them.

Plus, this looks like it is coming with the completely related Metroplex gun/Slammer item.

Wait, what?

That is true, as well. It boggles the mind to sell these two things together, as not everyone who has Metroplex is going to have Masterpiece cassettes, and vice versa. I would predict a lot of these may end up on eBay. (Assuming many people go for that gun/Slammer thing... Frankly, I don't see the charms of it, either...)

You think it'd make more sense to sell this as a separate item. Who knows? Maybe there are a bunch of people who might like a bit of extra play value or some additional display options (depending on what they do with their toys) with their Masterpiece cassettes? You'd think you'd have an easier time selling them this as a separate item for $10.00 - $15.00 or so, rather then advertising it as an add-on with a gun that'll cost $43.00 - $55.00, depending on your color and store choice for the gun.

Heck, sell the gun for $40.00, you're still making about the same amount. Then sell this thing for $10.00, you'll get a bunch of sales you might not have otherwise from people with cassettes but no Metroplex. And when it comes to people who actually want both, you'll get a whoping $50.00 out of 'em. That seems like the option that makes the most sense! (X2 Toys gets more money. Fans get more purchasing options: ones who only want one item don't feel they're being sold something else they don't want; and ones who want both, if they'd set things up this way from the beginning, would have happily bought both not feeling in the slightest as if they were being ripped off.)

But what do I know?

If this works with the upcoming MP Ratbat included with SoundBlaster I could see some combining him with the more purple Hasbro MP Frumble to make Senator Ratbat or something.

It looks like a fan custom bash; not something I would buy.

Still looks super pointless and dumb to me.

"Here you get some stupid parts to make your highly cartoon accurate expensive collector's figures into stuff that never happened and never will happen in any of the media containing these figures."
