this makes me wonder why igear didnt do this first. they could essentially redo the entire mini warriors line in cybertronian modes. and speaking of igear... are they done making the MW's? whatever happened to busta and red baron (wheelie and powerglide)?

anyways, yeah this is neat. color pics!

I think it has to do with the wings he has in the lower right hand corner of the reveal pic.

I don't like this one bit. It seems overly low quality & ugly. Parts of the sculpting makes it resemble those Transforming cap-formers toys.

Love bug... Since SAVCON was canned, GRR is working on getting this a mass release.

This figure is awesome. I love anything ancient cybertronian that pays homage to the G1 cartoon. And GRR is a cool guy who is very down to earth. I support all his projects.

Now GetRightRobot, if you didn't bring enough for the whole class then you should have left it at home :P.

Yes, that's my way of saying that I hope I hope I hope that I'm able to acquire one of these even though I will not be able to attend the convention. It looks amazing :)!

Wait, really?

Oh God yes, please some third party fund this project and make it happen, it WILL make money!!!

X and I both agree that it's awesome, and that almost never happens, so when it does, you know you've got a real hot seller on your hands :)!

Awesome-sauce! I tried making a G1 saucer Bumblebee out of a Mini-con once (I forget who it was, but he turned into a '70s-type muscle car), with mixed results. This looks pretty neat (although, as I always say about third party Bumblebees, blah blah G1 toy face would be better blah blah blah).

Yes indeed this figure would sell to the masses with no problem. I would also buy a cliffjumper retool or a straight repaint as glyph.

Yep, same here :). I realize it isn't perfect, but it scratches all the right spots to be just close enough to how Bee looked in the first episodes that any faults it has can easily be overlooked. I can't wait to see what it looks like in color (assuming this project does get picked up).

Ofcause you'd be a top buyer for this. As you prefer the tiny TF toys over the bigger ones.

If I had to guess,This is going to cost around $50. on the lowest side this will cost around $30. These two prices will makes some in this thread bow out & not want to spend this much for this. It's doubtful the price will be low as this is going to be a limited low volume run.

I simply refuse to buy any 3rd party legends or commander scaled toys.
Because they cost much more than the bigger scale 3rd party TF toys. X,allow me to explain this one to you. If a Hasbro USA legends scale TF toy cost $4-$5 & a 3rd party TF legends scale toy cost $29.99. Then this is roughly Seven times the price. 3rd party commander scale TF toys being sold at the $40-$50 price means they cost more than Six to Seven times more than the Hasbro USA $7 commander price minus the minicon 2 pack prices.

Buying the bigger scale 3rd party TF toys are simply the better value. As most 3rd party companies are only charging Three to Four times the Price of the current Hasbro USA toy price for that particular scale. X,Allow me to explain this one to you. Hasbro's current TF leader scale price is $45. Hexatron & Quakewave cost $130,This means they were slightly less than Three times the price of a Hasbro USA leader scale toy. Some 3rd party voyager scale toys cost around $70-$80. Hasbro's current USA price for TF voyagers is $24.Three times 24 makes this $72,a bit less but close to the $70-$80 3rd party price.

While I dislike Kronos,It's simply a steal of a deal low price at around $140. The current Hasbro USA price for a 14 inch ultimate TF toy is well over $70 now. So this is only paying double the price.

I'd rather pay 2 to 3 times more instead of paying 5 to 6 times more for a 3rd party TF toys. Compared to the Hasbro USA scaled comparisions versions. Right now the bigger scale 3rd party toys offer the best bargain prices than the tiny scaller scale 3rd party TF toy prices.

Even Ignoring prices. What makes most bigger scale 3rd party TF toys superior than the tiny scaled 3rd party toys like legends & commanders. Is that most voyagers, ultra & Leader scale 3rd party toys are MP quality or very close. While most 3rd party tiny scale TF toys like legends & basics are barely Classics quality as far as high sculpt, articulations, engineering, plastic, details, colors, accessories & more parts on the mold are concerned.

Only criticism I have for this is that the front mandibles on the actual model don't stick out quite as far as on the drawing.

Minor nit pick, but fixable.

Before X,Tries to counter argue that this GRR MTMTE Bumblebee toy is a high quality MP scaled commander scale version. It is simply not this. as the sculpt is vastly undersculpted to be considered MP TF high sculpted quality. This also doesn't have the signature poseable fingers that all the HasTak MP TF toys have. This GRR Bulblebee has a much lower sculpt than the HasTak commander scaled Generations toys have. The articulation on this GRR BB toy seems similar to whats on a current HasTak Generations commander scaled TF toy.

Bigger scaled 3rd party TF toys like Hexatron,Quakewave,Kronos & combiners can be considered MP TF quality. As they all have similar high quality sculpts. similar articulations, similar high engineering. more parts & accessories. All of this means there now better bargains compared to the 3rd party TF tiny legends, commanders & deluxes. As they are now barely twice the price of similar Hasbro MP TF scaled toys. If Hasbro released Hexatron or Quakewave in the USA they call them MP & sell each for around the $90-$100 USA TRU MP TF price.
If Hasbro ever sold a Voyager scale MP TF combiner team member,The Hasbro USA TRU price would be around $60.

Paying $60 for a Hasbro USA voyager sized Combiner team member limb bot. would not be a high price. considering the toy would be more complex than MP Sideswipe,Prowl & Wheeljack are. Since combiners are tripple changers. as the have a robot, vehicle & combiner mode. They would also each come with a bunch of combiner accessories.

You already know when I want something bad enough, I buy it. So there's no need to talk prices. You already know I like classics scale and hate MP scale, so there's no need to talk sizes.

I'm a big fan of anything that's ancient Cybertronian, especially if it's based from the G1 cartoon instead of some video game I don't play. Ill be getting this figure, and displaying him on this shelf...

I'm sure anyone else who likes the theme I'm shooting for here understands why I consider GRR's Cupid a must have.

I bought glyph, tap out, and wasp, because they go with my ancient cybertronian theme. They turned out to be bigger than I expected with a generous scout scale comparable to RTS windcharger. I do wish they had given them full round heads instead of that flat G1 toy crap, but overall im super satisfied with them. Hey if you want a shelf full of figures that scale with barbie and ken dolls, then more power to you. MP scale just turns me off because the size seems more consistent with kiddie toys rather than other adult collectibles Which are generally smaller. I dont play with my figures so the increased size is not needed in my life. I just display them on a shelf and would rather have more room for more figures.
