Online Petition,to get KFC to release a 2nd batch of this Ultra Magnus toy in it's original 9 inch Scale.

I posted this thread here. Perhaps others can post similar petition threads elsewhere on other forums.

Lets all participate in this thread. Then after we've all got a change to vote & vent our opinion, send the results to KFC. Perhaps someone here can email KFC or post this on there Facebook page, twitter or?

Yeah,I'm aware,It's too late for the first batch. It's already in the Production release stage.

I don't see why KFC can't release this in Two scales. The first batch in 13 inch scale. While the 2nd batch in 9 inch scale.

money?

if youre that upset with the scaling... why not just.. not buy it.

people are getting so bent out of shape over this, and its silly. we havent even seen MP magnus yet, and the silhouette blew our socks off. why not at least wait to see what takara has to offer first?

If anything, this will teach KFC not to listen to the fans. Seriously, most of us display our figures in robot mode. On this site, I know of one user who scales his figures by their vehicle modes.

9 inches is on the big side. How about 8 inches ? However tall toyworld orion is would be a great. And for the record, youre the only user on this site I know of who wants their new toys to be scaled from older toys.

i believe the 9 inch is a good scale because it would make UM just bit taller than orion (my choice for classics prime) who is 8 in. Um should be about that much taller. not wanting to take sides because this is probably going to become another fight with you guys but since we're trying to petition i thought i should make the reason for the scale clear.....

I'd like an Ultra sized Magnus to replace City Commander in my Classics collection. I'm not arsed if it's this one, even if it does look pretty good. I can wait.

This was my reasoning also. Having KFC UM be a head taller would make him perfect for 8 inch scaled ultras. on the plus side it could scale well head to head with leader scale 9 inch toys.

But we already have various G-1 newer Ultra Magnus toys in the deluxe,Voyager & 8 inch scales? Is their really a need to replace city commander or double up on it?

Would it be so hard to add a extra inch & have this be a 9 inch leader scale? This way everyone can have decent G-1 Newer Ultra Magnus toys in almost all the scales.

mbd88prime,Me & some agreed that UM should be at least head taller due to him wearing all that armor. So 9 inches would make him in both Ultra & Leader scale.

I fully expect MP-22,To be 2-3 inches taller than MP-10 due to all the armor he'll be wearing. There is just no way he's just going to grow a head or inch. Which will make MP-22 around 12 inches tall at minimal.

While I don't like the KFC UM,13 inch height & want it to be 9 inches tall. I do take some comfort in it scaling well with other TF toys on my shelves like MP-01,MP-05 & KFC UM.

TF toy Tech has Vastly improved from 30 years ago. It hasn't improved much from the past 10 years.

I want everything new to scale well with TF toys made within the 10 year window time frame.

Adult fans don't throw anything out. Most still have Ten year old TF toys chock full stocked on there shelves. So if something newer doesn't meet the scale of newer TF toys within a one-Two year period. Fans can simply place these out of scale toys on there older 3-10 year old display shelves. KFC UM will scale nicely next to MP-01,MP-05 & MP-22.

...seriously? This got a new thread? And no. KFC needs to learn the hard way not to let the fans speak with anything but their wallets.

Bull-poop. One only has to look at the various Ravages released in the last few years to see the engineering progression:
Classics Ravage - 2009:

Masterpiece Ravage - 2013:

I want everything new to scale well with TF toys made within the 10 year window time frame.

And apparently you'll kick up an overly-self-centered rant when something comes out that you like, but don't want because it goes against your collecting strategy?

Meh, it happens. Simmer down and be patient like the rest of us. I'm sure something will come out eventually.

I'd pull out a Kup-related meme about a turbo-revving young punk, but I'm tired and grumpy.

You don't speak for me and my collecting methods. I've had 10 years to figure out what I like and what I don't. If I like it I keep it. If I don't, I'll either sell it or give it to my neighbour's kids to play with. You may not get rid of anything, but I can guarantee that many here do. I should know, I've bought stuff from some of them,.

I suppose this does need a bit of explaining.

On March 31st,there was a overwhelming abundant supply of KFC Ultra Magnus pics. That kept coming in for days. Through the course of a few days my mind needed to fully process all these pics & info. On day one,I loved the pics & 13 inch scale info.

On day Two,I read everyones reactions to this toy here & on other forums. Most of the reactions were negative against the scale. Most made comments like They felt KFC made inferior toys. So after reading all these comments,I changed my mind. I wanted this to be 9 inches instead of 13 inches. Regardless of the 13 inch scale,I still had plans to buy it. As I pre-ordered it. I more or less was willing to buy this toy in both scales,The 9 inch & 13 inch scales. I figured various scaled toy is what those Robotech toys sometimes do.

Day three came & So did more pics. This time,The vehicle mode pics were released. When I saw the recent robot & vehicle pics. I fell in love with the toy all over again. I decided the 13 inch scale became a minor thing. As their were more important things on the toy I Loved like the MP Highly styled Sculpt,MP Articulation. Marvelous ground breaking engineering on the Transformation. close 1986 homage design. I felt the Vehicle mode was so highly styled & overly detailed it reminded me of those Binal-Tech alt modes. Regardless if the car carrier mode was based off a liscensed vehicle or not.

Ultra Magnus is one of my favorite Transformers characters. I have the 2001 Rid super scale Ultra Magnus & TFA Leader Scale Ultra Magnus toys on display shelves. I made the extra effort to get the B.J's recolor of 2001 Rid Ultra Magnus. Because I liked the mold with the darker grey & blue colors.

I loved the Titanium G-1 Ultra Magnus toys. When KFC teased pics of E.V.A.I Ultra Magnus last year. I sold the Titanium toy in preparation in getting the KFC UM version instead.

I debated for a while if I wanted Platinum Ultra Magnus. I thought the UM additions to the toy ruined the mold.

I have 1.0 Ultra Magnus alongside the Skywarp. Since they come in a 2 pack. I bought the FP City commander trailer. I had the trailer for a few years. I sold it a few months ago. Because I plan on getting the Takara MP-22 & KFC UM toys.

I got the TFP Rid Ultra Magnus Voyager. I didn't like The TFP Rid Voyager Optimus toy. While the UM recolor with extra parts looked nicer. I didn't like the base mold.

I didn't like any of the Deluxe scale Ultra Magnus toys that got released in Classics Generations. Most of them were lazy overly repeative repaints using a Optimus mold. The FOC UM toy with the new head was great but I still didn't buy it.

I had various 1986 Ultra Magnus toys & reissues versions. I sold all of them years ago.

2014 feels like the,Year of the Ultra Magnus. Instead of the YOTH year. As fans will be getting Two Amazing UM toys this year. The KFC UM & MP-22 UM toy. Initially Takara Promised MP-22 would get released in 2014. I think a more realistic date is Spring 2015. As MP-20,MP-21 & there repaints are going to dominate the 2014 year MP toy releases.

I scale mine by vehicle modes.

(then again, if I like it, I'll buy it regardless of scale; still I prefer mine in scale, according to vehicle modes)

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

I don't think a scale shift is practical. Re-sizing the master molds will cost more than their worth now that MP-22 is all but assured.
