Indeed. Depending on price, I may go with this one instead of picking up the Universe version on eBay.

Countdown was an interesting character, but this is one figure I can easily pass.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on this. I am intrigued by the turret fitting with Metroplex. I wonder if this is going to scale along with Scamper...

I would buy it. But honestly Ive already gotten use to the cybertron mold being countdown. I like having him Hothouse and Flak as an oversized crew of former micromasters. The whole micromaster concept was another stupid kiddie gimmick that really shouldnt have crossed over from the toy stores into fiction. The same thing with pretender shells and action masters. 1988 was a bad year for transformers toys. If these characters are going to get an update, I say leave behind all the toy accurate kiddie marketing gimmicks and make them normal deluxe and voyager figures. I dont want a bunch of legends sized robots just to relive a bad gimmick in TF history.

Not really interested, but we'll see how this turns out.

Interesting... but my Universe Countdown fills that niche quite nicely.

I fully agree with, the 'upscaling' if you will, of all those micro-masters/mini-bots/small-folk/whatever into a respective size to their own alt mode forms; no more Smart car sized clown cars or aeroplanes the size of a hang glider!

The computer teaser renders look a lot like the ones iGear put out, but I would guess they (still) have a lot on their plate without adding this to their 2016 roster?

What people are saying in TFW is this guy might be scout-sized. That's an ok size for me.

I wish they'd have done a large homage to the base component (the real toy rather than the tiny 'accessory' known as the Micromaster Countdown) that transformed into a robot. I'd have bought that. I probably won't buy this because when I think of Countdown, I think of a large blue mobile space vehicle launch platform with a large white rocket on it waiting to launch, not the teeny tiny red and gray Micromaster Transformer that comes with it/him.
Maybe that's just me though.

I'm not interested in this. As I never got into or liked the 1980's Micromasters toys or fiction.

Looks good. I'll wait to see the colors applied & price but I'm always in for highly articulated scout size figures.

Haha right on. I'd love to see this come out right about the time Iron Factory puts out their Six-gun & Slammer. Talk about three awesome scouts!
