Cool. This is the sort of thing I'd rather see from 3Ps. I love Topspin and TwinTwist. More like that, especially as Hasbro seems to be ignoring these characters.

I'll pass on these guys (unless they're amazing) but I'd like to see someone tackle the Decepticon versions.

Agreed. No Bumblebee's or stealth fighter Megatron's or MP Ultra Magni.

I could be TOTALLY wrong here , As the robot render looks a lot less complex than this alt mode render but the alt mode looks a lot more like Fastlanes G1 alt mode than it does being a trailer for orion pax

Image

Image

Also the robots feet have a very similar look and shape to the alt modes bumper on the right side .

What scale are these toys? Speculating they are basic scale.

I don't need or want to own every single 1980's TF toy character. Reborn into new toy form. These guys are not on my homage want list. So,no Thanks, easy pass with no regrets. not worth paying 3rd party prices for me.

Now if Hasbro created Generations versions in the Commander or Deluxe Scale. Then I might buy them. If not, then no big loss. as these guys are nort even on my homage radar list.

The ToyWorld IDW Stealth Fighter Voyager-Ultra Scale Megatron toy. I & some are looking forward too due to the HasTak toy being a small undersized Deluxe toy. This toy needs to be big as it's shown big in the IDW Comics scaled next to other Characters in the comics. I also find it ridiculously insane & wrong when HasTak makes tiny toys for faction leaders. At minimal scale them to Voyager. With my preference using the Leader scale for it's original AEC Purpose which was to have the Faction Leaders use this big toy scale. I'd be honest,I'd love to see a IDW Stealth Fighter Megatron toy in the Nine inch leader scale.

Bumblebee,I hate all of his Persona's & all of his toys from 1984-2014. HasTak further made me hate the character toy even more. When HasTak got carried away when they started created almost a hundred Bumblebee toys from 2006-2014. So I agree with you on this one.

Well, i don't read the IDW comics, so the stealth bomber Megs is... just not that important to me. It's like Roadbuster. I love FP stuff and have bought a lot of their products in the past and will do so in the future. But Roadbuster's not important enough to me to justify getting their version.

If Megatron. Had kept the stealth. BomBer mode for more than Leader Scale 5 issues. Maybe I'd Lader In Leader Size AEC! be more concerned about the Voyager+ 3rd party bomber Megs. I like the design, but it's probably as important to me as if someone made an Optimus Prime with an Hawaiian shirt he worn one time on a casual Friday back before the war started.

Still, it is nice to see 3rd parties tackling the characters that the official lines forget.

What does IDW stealth bomber megatron have to do with the autobot clones ? Is the site screwed up and posting comments in the wrong thread ?

No. Upthread I was stating that if Hasbro did something and did it fairly well, I wouldn't buy a third-party version. Stealth bomber Megatron was one I cited.

*sigh* No, I think there is a brewing firestorm about a particular user who may or may not be another previous user; some are mocking the type of posts. Myself, I am trying hard to ignore it at this point and stay on topic. (I do wonder, sometimes, what qualifies as needing addressing by mods. But, I really don't want to poke the sleeping dogs. I like it here!)

And speaking of being on topic, as I said before, I love this concept. Some of these obscure characters really could use the classics treatment. Now that I've seen the line drawing, I am curious to see a prototype. As simple as the G1 figures were, they had a sort of coolness about the way they look. I hope these can capture that feel, and still have bot modes that are near identical. There potential here to make a number of characters, right? (It is for this reason that I am surprised Has/Tak hasn't tried to produce these. The repaint potential is there, if designed right...)

both sets of Clones seem like great choices to get made now, since I think the engineering has got to the point where it should be a lot easier to make the robot modes look nearly identical.

as for repaints, I'm sure there's some potential there, but, even though I'm not interested in these two in particular, I hope these are designed first and foremost as Fastlane and Cloudraker rather than taking liberties or making compromises to do easier repaints. I can't think of any other bots right now that'd work with just a palette swap, but maybe X2Toys will stick some retooling on the molds to give us different characters after the initial (I'm guessing) 2 pack?

No Thanks, I won't be buying any of these X2TOYS-Autobot Clones toys. After looking at the parts in those pics. The plastic looks cheap and the toys look overly simplified. Usually the smaller scale 3rd party TF toys have more QC problems and weaker more breakable plastic. I have experienced this first hand. By buying several smaller Scale 3rd party TF toys that broke in my hands while Transforming them. Some even came broken in the box before I touched them.

Sign me up for a pair of clones please!

I could go for a set of nice large Deluxe/small Voyager Autobot Clones for my 1987 screened characters for my Classics collection. ;)

If X2 toys can make the final price point around the same as the Mech iDeas Demolition Crue Deluxes then Im in! :D

These look to be slightly smaller than MP Sideswipe if you took notice of the prototype legs you can take a good guess at the height .

So the Clones are going to be MP size :-? I am expecting good alt mode representation for that size.

:???:
Not really sure 'Masterpiece' is actually a sizing, more a styling, as such.
The recent MP figures (Sideswipe, Red Alert, Prowl etc) if you wanted to label them with a scale, are all Voyager and the recently announced MP Bumblebee would be Deluxe if sizing is applied! :-B

Lets hope Tsutsukakushi doesnt get his rulers out or we will have another scale-by-inches debate again! ;)

I'm already dreading the incoming madness of scale-related navel-gazing.

Quoted for truth. Usual suspects, you know you're not gonna agree and it's just embarrassing/confusing to read.
