Here's the idea. To have 3rd party toy change into bigger or smaller scaled robot modes. Going from one toy size scale higher or lower.
How about having robot legs that that can shoten or extend by a inch in height. by collapsing into hollow lower legs. The legs will need more articulation to cover the joints that get lost when being hidden in the lower hollow legs.
how about other body parts on the robot mode that can also shorten and extend to reduce or grow height on the robot mode. Hip joints like MP-09 has that make Rodimus grow or shrink a inch. Torso,Waist parts that reduce or extend in height like Super Rid Optimus has for his Regular and Super mode.
While not gaining or increasing much. Every bit does help. How about a double jointed joint in the ankles. That can make the robot mode grow or shrink a bit.
Doubt anyone wants to go the TF movie verse toy line route here. But some of those toys have those distorted legs that folded up into themselves. Creating those weird extend or decreased heights on the legs in robot mode.
Creating more 3rd party slippers or boots to increase the height of Robot modes. Like those Hedgemon 3rd party slippers and those 3rd party MP Grimlock moon boots do.
The option of 3rd parties to create replacements bigger or smaller thighs or shins exist. As some character designs can use both longer or shorter legs. Like Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, Megatron, Arcee, Jetfire, Shockwave and the list goes on.
Going off topic a bit. How about going the Robotech or Gundam route. Where the same mold is made in various scales to please more buyers. I don't see the problem in doing this here on 3rd party TF toys. As these 3rd party toys are billed as being catered more to fans needs. No,Not every 3rd party TF toy,Just a few special molds here and there.

Or, instead of ruining the aesthetics of every toy with this cocamamy idea you could just not be so entitment generation and realize you can't always have what you want.

It takes more than height to scale properly. The torso should match the legs so extensions wont make a figure universal for different scales. You dont want figures with chicken legs. You dont want them looking like shrek either. I would love to see a good inch taken off from generations springer to bring him in scale with other 1986 movie cast figures. But then you would probally think it was too small. You cant please everybody. In the end, the minority loses. And in most cases, your tastes in scale are the extreme minority.

It's just not going to work. You need to consider how the vehicle alt modes will be affected as well, both in terms of transformation and stability, but also in terms of size. A small car next to a larger car will still look odd.

Without going through the trouble of confirming he prefers MP scale, which is the immpression that I have for whatever reason, I don't see how you come to this conclusion. Unless your counting children who get what their parents will buy, its likely more 50/50.

The guy thinks a leader class galvatron would scale perfect with deluxe cyclonus and scourge. And he thinks kfc citizen stack scales perfect with MP-10 In robot mode. Cmon now...

I got the impression you were saying that people that prefer MP scale were in the extreme minority. If this was not what you meant then disregard.

Never happen because 3rd parties DO NOT FOLLOW A STANDARD SIZE. It's not like there's a "overseeing" authority to get them all in line. And That concept is NOT economically viable.

Just imagine if this was no exemption rule..........then G1 Scorponok (definitely not in scale with Fortmax) if available, would be crossed out of your I want list?
