I Don't buy many. I Prefer to buy more of the 3rd party figures instead.
Currently, I own longer chrome smoke stacks for the Hasbro 15th MP-01 toy. Renderform kit for Classics 2.0 Darkwind. SXS kit for Blitzwing. FP Swindle and Blastoff add on kits.
Had the Headrobots kit for Universe Ultra scale Hardhead but got rid of it. Got rid of the FP city commander add on kit. Got rid of the FP Protector trailer kit.

Generally full figures are higher on my list, but I do still buy add ons.
I recently bought a FoC Grimlock add-on to fill his belly.
The Metroplex knees, hands, and ramp from Megamoonman
The blue eyes (and red for combiner head) from Megatron 31 (still hasn't arrived, though).
But I enjoy the whole lot of the others I've bought, including both City Commander and Protector (along with PE and iGear's upgrades for CC).
I like how add-ons add just a little bit extra to an existing figure. I'm a bit of a hoarder too, so it's unlikely that I'll offload anything I've bought.

I'll buy pretty much any kit. Even if I don't use it all on that figure, I like having the options available, especially more guns.

I have more add on kits then I do of full figures... unless you count the individual component bots of Giant and Colossus, in which case they may be equal. Still not much as there are very few 3P items I'm compelled to go after these days due to a combination of high prices, waning interest, and nothing ever really coming across as completely necessary or aesthetically pleasing. >:oP

I've got quite a few of each. Probably more add-ons, if you count individual weapons as well as new heads/armours/etc.

Upgrades are one of the main things i love about this hobby but with my current falling out with the classics line i haven't bought any recent kits. Now i've moved on to the MP line there isn't much room to improve , i do like Wheeljacks inventions though i will probably pick those up .
I think this is everything.
Renderform - Darkwind kit
Renderform - Hubcap kit
IGear - Weapons kit
IGear - kup head
Beelzeboss - Devil horns kit
Beelzeboss - Heroic Duo kit
SXS - Blitzwing kit
MGS - Hound & Ravage kit
MGS - Classics Bumblebee & Cliffjumper kit
FansProject - Crossfire Munitioner and Explorer
FansProject - City Commander KO
Reprolabels - Lots of them .
Edit. TFC Wings kit

I have the missiles for MP Prowl, and would highly recommend them if you're on the MP side of things. I know there are a few sets. I think mine are the Before And After ones. Whichever came with the sticker set and were on special offer from TFSource.

Personally, I love add on kits. If I can take a decent official figure and make it even better, awesome!
Hmm... Here's what I have that I can think of off the top of my head. (Excluding Reprolabels, which technically are a third party add-on, but I have way too many to list!)
Original Masterpiece Optimus Prime: Longer smokestacks. Battle Rollar. (I have an MP-4 trailer, and a domestic version of the Cab.)
MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime: Sideswipe's jetpack and Roller's gas pump.
Masterpiece Megatron: stock and barrel extensions.
Masterpiece Starscream: coronation kit. (This was long before there was an official option.)
G1 Optimus Prime: Matrix chamber, new gun, and Sideswipe's jetpack. (I got a Takara reissue, so his smokestacks were fine!)
Pepsi Optimus Prime: Longer smokestacks.
Smallest Optimus Prime: Articulated repair drone.
G1 Orion Pax: Custom head.
Classics Prime: G3 Trailer. (Also provides weapons for Classics Bumblebee, Mirage, Grimlock, Hound, and Sideswipe.)
TFC Gear of War: Ladder for Inferno & shoulder cannon for Red Alert
Classics Starscream: coronation kit. (I love what it does for his wings, and I wish the new wing joints were available in colors appropriate for most of the other Seekers.)
Classics Cliffjumper: head and weapons.
Classics Ultra Magnus: City Commander (rerelease with missile pods)
Classics Hot Rod: Protector upgrade.
Animated Classics Arcee: Custom head and guns. (Although I may replace her if the Generations Arcee is in any way a decent G1 homage.)
RTS Laser Prime: Battle Tanker
WFC Optimus Prime: Matrix, matrix chamber, and weapons.
Generations Hoist and Trailcutterbreaker: X2 Toys Add-on Kit
...and probably a few others I can't immediately think of.
Also, I'm planning on some things for Titan Metroplex: MegaMoonMan's knees and ramp extensions, and Before and After's Six-gun and Slammer.

I love add on sets that can make a crappy hasbro figure made for kids look more cartoon accurate. I own too many sets, parts, and guns to name. They really can make a kiddie toy look more like an adult collectible that homages G1.

I've got a bunch. I would rather upgrade an existing figure than buy entirely new ones, if only because I like the idea of 3rd Parties complementing Hasbro's offerings rather than competing with them.
Anyway, here's my 3rd Party Add-On List:
Art of War Hero Rifle
Beelzeboss Devil Horns (yellow)
Beelzeboss Growing Pains
Beelzeboss Heroic Duo (2nd run)
Brownnoize Throne of Chaos
Corbot War Axe
Corbot Carnage Axe
Crazy Devy Purple Barrel for Hercules
Dr Wu Energon Cubes (pink)
Dr Wu Gun Arms Blitz
Dr Wu Rain Storm
Dr Wu Rain Storm Metallic Edition
Dr Wu Soul Eater Scythe
Dr Wu Tyrant Sword Green
Dr Wu Tyrant Sword Purple
Dr Wu Tyrant Sword Red
Excellent Toys LED Head for Hercules
Fans Want It Alien Jet Engine
Guilty Hunger Set for Seekers
Headrobots Butcher
Headrobots Blood the Dark Warrior
iGear Kup upgrade - regular
iGear Kup upgrade - eHobby
iGear Weapons set
Lucky Rogers Medic
Lucky Rogers Warrior
Maiden Japan A-01
Maiden Japan B-01
Maiden Japan D-01
Maketoys Sword for Drift
Mastermind Creations Dazzling Glory
MGS-03 for Hound & Ravage
Renderform Spy Jack
Renderform Mach Red V2
Renderform Nightshade
Renderform Bump Scout
Renderform Hub Scout (RTS 'Bee)
Renderform Hub Waarior (IDW 'Bee)
SXS Black/Purple Mace
SXS Red/Silver Mace
TFC Rage of the Hercules
UFO Clear Orange Axe
UFO Glory Shield
UFO Premium Silver Hands
Zenith Forge Cretaceous Advancement
I may have missed something. I also have Reprolabels for Titan Metroplex, Sweeps & Music Label Soundwave. I plan on getting the TFC Gears of War kit for Inferno once I acquire a Henkei version down the line (I have the Hasbro version), and perhaps the Generations Hoist/Trailbreaker upgrade. We'll see.

I own plenty of add on kits, from several different companies and for several different lines (MP, Classics, G1, etc). Sometimes it's just nice to have some new weapons to display with figures, but the best add-ons are the ones that make a figure better. Some of my favorites are the G1 Ironhide/Ratchet kits from Gear4Toys, City Commander from FansProject, and the Movie Ironhide kit from FansWantIt. The one I have the most polarizing opinion on would be the full suite of Predaking upgrades from CrazyDevy. Sure, he looks beautiful with those gorgeous wings and menacing sword, but I can barely move him without having the waist upgrade falling out or the mane pieces falling off.

Maybe 2-3 each year, sometimes more. Damn Dr. Wu.
I buy kits for characters I care about, or for props that I really want. I sometimes buy add on kits that provide new heads for characters that could use them (Classics Cliffjumper's Devil Horns, ROTF Bludgeon's Blood the Dark Warrior). More often though I'm interested in weapon additions that surpass the Hasbro release (like Dr. Wu's Prime Star Saber and Forge of Solus Prime).

And probably one of the smartest things Hasbro/Takara have done in recent years is to reuse molds but have a new head sculpt for the additional figure. Bezelbub, Dr. Wu, SXS... all making these additional heads, and sometimes they are really great (the aforementioned CJ Devil Horns and gigantic blaster set). But the idea that the main source of these toys figured out a way to crank out more, unique looking characters yet still reuse most of an older figure - much better than just having tons of repaints.
Speaking of add on kits, I just received Renderform's Night Shade and Spy Jack kits. Can't wait to try them out later tonight (well, Night Shade at least; I haven't picked up a Skyfall yet).

Just checked out Peaughs review of the B&A Omega Launch looks like a nice little kit with those stickers included .
If i come across it i will pick it up , if not looks like it will be Reprolabels and the Guilty G-07 pack , other than the Bluestreak launchers i don't care for the rest of the extras .
Does anybody know what the antenna for Prowl reference ?

I have quite a few add-on kits. I like individual weapon upgrades like those done by TFC, Renderform and Dr Wu and I especially love upgrade 'armor' suits like those done by FP and Maketoys. Those really scratch my itch for armoring up and upgrading a base figure to turn it into a super badass like good ol' Powermaster Optimus Prime back in the day. Most recently I grabbed the two Pandora's Box upgrades for FoC Prime and Magnus and aside from a few small QC issues, they're awesome. They add some serious height and bulk to the figures and make impressive forms for the shelf. Maketoys' upgrade for Shattered Glass Magnus turned out really awesome because I upgraded my Ultimate Gift Set Prime with the bot mode bits and have him facing off against their not-Fallen and I had an entire complete tanker trailer to give to my Takara United Laser Prime for vehicle mode (which I had him in vehicle mode anyway as I prefer that mode to that figure's standalone robot mode).
I also have FP's upgrade kit for the Sons of Cybertron clear Rodimus/Hot Rod but I keep it in vehicle mode. It makes for a wicked clear red sporty space-Winnebago

.
And naturally, Xovergen's Trailerforce upgrade looks epic combined with Henkei Prime.
I'm a sucker for these kinds of kits and I think they're tons of fun and add some mean bulk and height to otherwise less substantial figures on the shelf.

That's the one I forgot! Clear Protector is pretty sweet, especially next to the United eHobby translucent Decepticons.

Best and only add on kits ever bought?
FP City Commander(1st edition)
FP City Commander add on kit (those d@mn missile pods)
FP gas tanks for Binaltech Optimus Prime
FP SL Superion
FP trailer set. Super awesome + it also came with chromed henkei weapons.
Encore IH and Ratchet heads
Optimus Prime light up guns (the ones compatible with movie/henkei/G1)
(not sure if you consider this an add on per se)but thanks to zodconvoy, I scrounged ebay for an upgraded Orion Pax head + body E-hobby "Orion Pax"
Missed kits will forever regret?
FP Colossus and WST Shockwave for Bruticus.
The above mentioned are simply not to miss if you want to enhance your figures
Worst purchased add on?Tried but got burned (CRAZY DEVY) leg torso. Thought that their
special offer was a steal, well, it WAS a STEAL.......from my wallet! Piece of cr@p is totally useless. No ratcheting in his thighs........made Dev flop a lot......simply a waste of money. So avoid the over priced useless stuff from Crazy Devy! There re other better stuff out there.

At present...there just isn't any "Buy me now" kits that strike my fancy. Well, maybe B & A's 6-gun.
Those what I posted btw are all my stuff.

I already stated this in my original post, but to reiterate: I'm planning on pimping out my 'Plex with MegaMoonMan's knees and ramp extensions, and the Before and After Six-gun/Slammer. (Also, his Reprolabels are included with a massive Reprolabel order I just placed.)

nothing upcoming that I feel is a must buy. latest add-on I've purchased, which definitely was a must have, was the My First Blaster for the Maketoys Swerve, but both of those are still en route to me.

I might buy more add ons kits. If they added more articulation to HasTak TF toys.
doing a full kit for Energon Galvatron. Replacement rotate wrist with poseable fingers. Replacement thighs with rotate all around swivels. Replacement ball jointed head. Replacement ball jointed feet.
Doing a Full kit for Armada Megatron and Starscream. That Has replacement parts to add more articulation to the legs, head & fist fingers.
Doing a replacement tank turrent arm for ROTF leader scale Megatron.
More replacements fist with articulated finger for more of Hasbro's TF toys. Not just Optimus. Maybe do one for 2014 30th leader scale Jetfire.

Someone doing articulated hands the way some guys just do heads or weapons is a pretty cool idea.
For deluxe figures, maybe just the 4 fingers on a cut joint to add a bit of poseability.
I know there are figures where I would swap out hands for better ones.

On larger figures such as leader class figures or combined gestalts, or on Masterpiece figures, I'm all for articulated hands. But don't go too crazy wishing for them, now. There's really little point to them in Voyager or Deluxe class figures.
I mean, what do they add to the figure? Hands that don't hold weapons as tightly, and that have small parts that can break easily. I'll take a good permanently closed fist with a 5mm peg hole, thank you.
