http://static.seibertron.com/images/toy ... atron1.jpgHave these toys been cancelled? did the 3rd party companies close down?
Are they still coming after all this lengthy pause?
If the Liantoys Darkness Emperor toy gets released,I'll buy it.

The Glock-Megatron turned out to be a student's art project or something like that. I have no idea what happened to the other one.

No big loss,I had no plans to buy Glockatron anyways. As I thought it looked weird and terrible on so many areas of the robot sculpt.
I wonder if anyone here liked the Glockatron toy.

I liked the robot mode up until I found out how the designer deal with the barrel/cannon... that was awkward.

I think Hegemon just flat out won the battle before it ever got started. Theres always MP megatron if you dont mind the height. And then of course theres Hasbrotron with his beloved wings that fold up into 7 shots of nerf gun fury. I think the latest megatron teaser from MMC also turned out to be a hoax as well like their other teasers.

MMC's teaser was an April Fool's joke... I think they may use that mold/model for a Decepticon Justice Division guy.
First, Fembots and Overlord. I could really, really use a serviceable Classics Overlord.

I fear how long it will take MMC to release their version of Overlord.
I am guessing somewhere around January 2016.

I kind of like Botcon overlord. Im not saying I dont want a cartoon accurate overlord, but since I dont know any of the japanese storylines, I dont mind the wait. I want their elita one and the other two predacons badly though.

Botcon Overlord with PE's new heads looks Awesome! I always liked botcon overlord but that head the club put on it is kind weird and way to big for the body. Think that head sculpt is bigger than MP Starscreams.

I'm probably one of the few people in existence who could care less for the G1 Megatron design outright since he's one of the most basic robot designs ever, him and Optimus both really. I do like "Glockatron" though since it at least tries to do something kind of unpredictable and make the gun barrel an over the shoulder bazooka instead of the typical arm cannon.

I think a lot of people could care less. Many folks seem quite enamoured with the G1 design.

uhm... I'm not quite sure I understand if you caught my meaning. I was stating that I
dislike the G1 Megatron design because of how generic it is.

Had I come upon this post a year ago, I would've disagreed.
But a lot can change in a year.
I too think that replacing Megatron with a tank-based version would be a welcome thing, but alas there hasn't been any really good Megatron tanks that fit the scale that I'd like (beefy Voyager) so for now I'll keep ToyWorld's Megatron.

Nah....I can put up with tank megatron on my G2 shelf, but for G1 he has gotta be a gun. Just like blaster gotta be a boombox and reflector gotta be a camera. I know the whole mass shifting thing bothers some people, but I think certain alt modes are too iconic to let go. I think the whole tank thing is kind of hasbroish and just a sign of the times that toy guns arent accepted by society like they wete in the 1980s. But 3rd parties arent for kids so I prefer them to stick to the traditional alt modes.

I won't mind a tank mode G1 Megatron. Megatron is mostly bot mode to me, although I do want one that Transforms into something, and a tank makes most sense.

Further misunderstandings or just plain ignorance or something, I'm not even sure anymore. I have no issue with whether he's a gun, a tank, a truck, or whatever! What I dislike is G1 Megatron's
ROBOTt design for being a generic stack of boxes!
I'm not trying to bitch about it here though, I'm just making absolutely clear my words are not misconstrued.

Another 3rd party megatron toy. That i'm guessing won't get released.
http://www.tomopop.com/megatronathon-ye ... 4018.phtml It looks like its made on the cheap side. Everything looks low quality on this toy.

I remember this one. It was teased around the same time as Hegemon if I recall.
Looks nice, but a bit on the small side for me.
The reason it looks cheap is that this is a test shot. Those are typically made with much cheaper materials so they can check for fit of the parts and make adjustments before final molds are made up.

but you said you could care less, indicating that you care some amount, because there is room for you to care less. if you didn't care at all, you couldn't care less.
edit: kinda get your point about Meg's bot mode being boxes upon boxes. That's why I did always like that the G1 had a bit of a curve to his upper chest and neck area, and like how the cartoon and comic model sometimes give him a bit of a skinnier waist in his red abs.

Yeah the real phrase is 'I couldn't care less', a lot of yanks substitute couldnt for could though. I woukd be up for a Glockatron I guess. I love megatron's original bot mode, he looks like a Nazi stormtrooper.
