Glad that Decepticon Headmasters are getting some love, and that there's no other currently known rendition of Skullcruncher being offered simultaneously. The green could've been a little greener. As it stands now, he looks like the lost member of the Piranhacons. I like the look of FansProject Headmasters better than ToyWorld's and would hope that an FP Skullcruncher is eventually released, but maybe Swamper fits somewhere in my collection. The additional pieces on his shoulders in bot mode kinda reminds me of General Grievous, which is pretty neat.

Either way, he's not high on my priority list.

No thanks, This is Character toy is low on my wish list.

Wondering if the eventual Alicon repaint will get done.

That looks AWESOME! :D

Toyworld are one of, if not, my favourite 3rd Party company right now, great rendering, well articulated and prices one cant fault. :APPLAUSE:

Much like Hardbone, with no FP version of Skullcruncher in sight, this will be mine. Swamper looks great! Much better than the Brainwave attempt, in my opinion.

I hope BBTS wasn't scared away by bad Brainwave sales and carries this guy. I'm ready to preorder...

Not bad. I has Squeezeplay as a kid, so I really hope they get to him. This release gives me hope for that.

I thought FP was doing a Skullcruncher too.

You know what, you're right! I had forgotten about that because the art was in OP colors:

I also really like Toy World's stuff. I feel FP makes collector grade figures that would never pass inspection for the retail kids market. MMC makes fine art, especially if you look at their HoS line of stuff. But TW makes the things I WISH Hasbro was making, and there is no reason HasTak couldn't put out the types of figures TW does.

As far as their Headmasters go, I really liked their take on Hardhead, but their version of Brainwave paled in comparison to the FP version. I have both of those and TW-H02 will eventually get sold.

So I'm on the fence here. I like this, but I don't want to have to replace it if FP does come out with a version I like better.

You should probably wait to see what FP's offer is like. If TW's pass headmasters are any indication this might go on sale by the time FP's version comes out.

The robot mode is nice. The beast mode is not crocodile enough though, even thgouh I won't keep him in croc mode for long, it's kind of a big deal for me.

I have faith in whatever FP_ will do that I can pass on this for now.

Well he looks good but im not digging the gator head on his chest. Plus Toyworld makes their headmasters too big and out of scale for my tastes. I would only get this one if fansproject cancels their version which I doubt they will. Actually this might push them into dropping another teaser.

In fairness, one pic has the gator head on his chest while the other has it on the back.

I'm actually down for the size. I can dig the Decepticons being bigger and beefier than the Autobots. I did forget about FP's tease, though. Hmmmmmmm...

That's cause this version isn't a croc, it's a gator.

I missed that. But the screw holes on his shoulders in that pic indicate that he was intended to have the gator chest. I wonder how they got around the punch/counterpunch fist issue. You can do that with Code too but the fists are upside down and thumbs out.

Screw holes aren't the worst thing. They're just showing he has those two options.

Gaa! You all make some really good points. I have preordered for now. Hopefully FP comes out with some images/renders/prototypes soon so I can make my final decision.

You peoples are right, this doesn't look much like a croc. I don't think it looks much like a gator either. It just looks like a mean, skull crunching lizard. And for some reason, the aesthetics are pleasing me.

GAA!

YES!!!

i was so worried TW was discontinuing their headmaster line. i loved hardbone (with all his flaws) and loved the look of brainwave (even though i dont have him yet). i love TW's aesthetics and cant wait for more.

Ahh yes, to be completely honest, it's been a long time since I've compared the two.

It's actually a decent gator-con, but I think FP will come out and amaze us all.

Yay! Animal based controversy! :KREMZEEK:

Tfwiki.net wrote:Skullcruncher transforms into a green and pink robotic crocodile, at least according to his packaging; his head implies he's actually an alligator. Skullcruncher includes one of the most bizarre alt-mode cockpits among the Headmasters for his partner Grax, a small molded seat at the back of his alt-mode mouth below the large canopy that serves as this mode's eyes, his entire upper jaw serving as the hatch to access it. The sword/tail's shape actually makes it look more like a short club.

As I look at Swamper, there appears to be a hatch on top of the head. Another cockpit for the little guy? Image

No bones about it, TW IS my favorite third party right now. No one has matched their quality so far. Their figures feel more solid than anyone else's (though closely rivaled by Planet X because their 2 figures are fairly solid as well for the most part).

I'm onboard with this. Already preordered. I've got their other two not-Headmasters and no disappointments so far. The same goes for their not-Throttlebots (which I'm anxious to hear news about as it's been a while since Trace).

I won't be buying this the aesthetic is to friendly for my taste and the colours are too bright .

It's not a bad piece though it's nice enough just not my cup of tea >:oP
