I never cared for the 1988 Seacons toys. So this is a easy pass for me.
due to the sea beast modes having arms and legs minus Snaptrap. If this 3rd party gets rid of The this, then I might consider buying them.

My ideal scale for this would have snaptrap be Voyager scale. While the others are small deluxe scaled toys. A fair Price would be $90 for Snaptrap while the other deluxes cost $68.

Its the arms and legs that made the seacons so cool ! No kid would have wanted to play with a bunch of fish that couldnt be posed and kept flopping over. I hope this comes out. We need more combiners. And the name "X-Player" makes it sound even more awesome !

I'll get excited at actual images. But at least someone might be working on this.

Need more than just a silhouette to interest me...like whether it's a scramble type like the original or not. But I hope this means there will be more entries from Victory/Masterforce (Landcross/RoadCaesar/LioKaiser, in particular) coming out soon.

Also, posable tentacles or GTFO

Great to see these guys are being tackled, but I'll likely pass with the hopes that a more well known 3rd tackles this in the future.

Looks like it's based on this custom.

With some Photoshopping:

Could be just a placeholder teaser, considering that the silhouette does match the photo perfectly in some parts :-?

I am intrigued. I actually really like the G1 toy with its 5 scramble city limbs where each limb can form a unique looking weapon with the other 4 as limbs. I'd like to see a 3P tackle this aspect as well as bringing in a modern Classics feel. And I agree with X; I think keeping the arms and legs is a must!!

The head on the custom is too damn big for my tastes.

This toy is a custom that has taken some toy parts from other HasTak TF toys. Is this guy who's creating this 3rd party Combiner toy, going to seriously release it this way?

It's just based off the same source material, so of course the outlines will have some similarities. I don't think these will wind up similar at all.

The head on that is pretty big, but it looks impressive anyway.
