”Speaking of sensors, unless mine are glitchin', it looks like they're cookin' themselves in there. Maybe their last stand will wind up being Terrorcon food, heh heh."

”Certainly looks like they are doing the cooking, hehe.” Apeface chuckled at Snapdragon’s comment.

”Not that we should let Hun-Gurrr and his boys know just yet. I feel like… having fun of our own for a while, right?” He added, cracking his knuckles and cocking his head from side to side. ”We just let them steam a little first. Weaken them.”

Apeface’s visor began glowing with sadistic anticipation, ”As fun as beating these three to pulp is going to be, I wouldn’t take unnecessary chances with them. They are all dangerous. More so than most Autobots.”

”But so are we.”

[Quarantine - Shipping Container]

All three of the Monsterbots lay completely flat, untensed, their living flamethrowers having ceased spewing flame. The edges of the container had turned a bright red from the intense heat, and it was certainly boiling weather inside. The remnants of the flames licked at their chassis. Repugnus’s optics offlined, and his servos loosened up. His vitals started slowing down. To an outsider, it might’ve appeared that he and his comrades had just set themselves on fire and headed off on their way to the afterspark. Some kind of triple suicide.

But that’s what he wanted them to think.

Alpha Hangar

Opening the bay doors and deactivating the shield, Scourge launched himself out of the massive Worldburner and headed for his predetermined set of coordinates.

Cyclonus, on the other hand, approached the immense area where Scorponok's spacebridge technology was housed. Various technicians bowed as the Vice Commander approached. His slight nod sent them scurrying back to their assignments.

>>"In position,"<< he transmitted to Scorponok.

“Did Cutthroat punch eloquence into you? I was going to say something like that but, generous gentlemech that I am, I thought I’d leave the speech to you.”

Icepick grinned as Wildfly had elbowed him.

"A bit, maybe. More our extended stay in Garrus. I had plenty of time to read and play 'Matrix'. Gave me a better perspective on the universe if anything was going to."

Snapdragon held up his hands in mock-innocence.

"I certainly wasn't gonna tell Hungrr. These fools are ours."

”As fun as beating these three to pulp is going to be, I wouldn’t take unnecessary chances with them. They are all dangerous. More so than most Autobots. But so are we.”

"'Zactly right, heh," Snapdragon said, looking at the overheated box. "None of this makes sense. They're either gonna go out in a blaze of glory or they already offed themselves."

Snapdragon then proceeded to transform into his dragon mode.

"Either way, I've got some extra heat for 'em," he said, before launching a stream of plasma-infused flame at the container.

Bridge

”In position."

>>”Excellent.”<< Scorponok transmitted back to Cyclonus while running necessary calculations for the space bridge. The Semper Tyrannis was an enormous ship, roughly 3 miles long - its hangar alone was longer than two Nimitz-class aircraft carriers put in a row. That hardly meant a safe return for anyone exceeding the safe approaching speeds through the open space bridge. >>”Sending you the necessary vector calculations for safe return in vehicle mode. It would be quite disappointing after all the trouble we have been through to let Megatron fly into a hangar wall three times the speed of sound.”<<

Having checked his calculations, Scorponok turned away from the bridge’s main viewscreen and headed out towards the hangar himself, transmitting Cyclonus the final authorization on the move. >>”Proceed.”<<

As he approached the bar, Wildfly nodded slowly, riffling through his memories pertaining to “Matrix”. Not one of his favourites. He blamed Bristleback for that, but he had to blame himself for playing it with Bristleback. Wildfly knew how his team-mate got when he was losing: a series of grumbles at first, which led to an escalating barrage of insults, then crazy accusations bellowed at Wildfly for being not only a pile of rusted nuts covered in waste, but also a cheater—a pathetic trickster who bent the rules to gain the upper hand when victory was slipping away. Drama queen.

Proximity of their cell blocks made Bristleback, out of all the Monstercons, Wildfly’s most frequent opponent, and by golly, didn’t retrospect paint a vivid image of how much of a mistake that was? Instead of fending it off, Wildfly should’ve let his boredom have had its complete way with him. It’d already taken his common sense, given how often he asked Bristleback if he was interested in a game.

Oh, and to set the record straight, Wildfly had only cheated once. Or maybe twice. Three times? His memory was murky there.

He grunted. “Probably a good thing you and I didn’t play much.”

Icepick wouldn’t remember. He was excellent at “Matrix”. Wildfly was awful at “Matrix”. It was easy to forget how badly—and how quickly—Icepick beat him. Routine win after routine win.

“Since we’re on this topic...” Wildfly pointed at Icepick then Slog. “Which one of you is better at that game?”

Bludgeon stopped as he received Reflector's communique. Before he answered he turned his attention to Nightbird. "Go find Bomb Burst and keep him from assassinating anyone and that he makes it to the med bay. I don't have faith in his abilities to find his way anywhere right now."

*

Nightbird nodded, said nothing, but melted away into the shadows to go find Bomb Burst.

*

Once he knew Nightbird was gone he changed course and headed for the location indicated. >>"Of course. I am on my way."<< He replied to Reflector.

Checking his location, he wasn't far from the War Room, so with haste he made his way there.

War Room--Exterior

>>"Of course. I am on my way,"<< Bludgeon efficiently commed back to the Surveillance Specialist.

Already having been en route, Reflector arrived at the appointed location in short order. Prepping the war room to hold the latest meeting of the Conclave would take top precedence in his schedule for the time being. Even so, he was fortunate that his work could be divided.

Reflector could see that there was another mech within his immediate vicinity, a simple scan revealing it to be Bludgeon. He moved to round the corner and intercept.

"Commander," Reflector said, greeting the formidable warrior and Master of Metallikato respectfully. "Lord Scorponok has tasked me with preparing the war room for a meeting of the Conclave. As one of the most capable warriors aboard this vessel, I must therefore task you with the security of said meeting. Once Megatron is within that room, these exterior corridors must be cordoned off and accessible by no one."

Alpha Hangar

>>”Sending you the necessary vector calculations for safe return in vehicle mode. It would be quite disappointing after all the trouble we have been through to let Megatron fly into a hangar wall three times the speed of sound.”<<

>>"Exceedingly disappointing,"<< Cyclonus agreed as he transmitted the calculations to the team of technicians that were monitoring the spacebridge. They then relayed the same calculations to the incoming Decepticons that were in the process of trnasporting their comrades in arms. Though it was an operation well within their collective technical skill, it was still one that required a degree of delicacy. The lead technician then signaled when they were ready to receive the incoming vessels.

>>”Proceed,”<< Scorponok then commanded. Cyclonus nodded at the lead technician and the alpha hangar steadily became abuzz with the hum of activated technology. The spacebridge's intense expenditure of energy vibrated the floor. The massive technology buzzed and crackled with energy as the first of the triorian vessels blasted through the spacebridge and into the hangar.

“Since we’re on this topic...Which one of you is better at that game?”

Icepick exchanged a friendly glance and a grin with their team leader before offering him a polite bow.

"I would say that Slog has been able to consistently clean my proverbial clock at 'Matrix' for about, oh, the last several hundred vorns. Give or take."

Bludgeon wasn't sure exactly how to take Reflector's rather complimentary tone. He was just not used to it, but decided that the smaller 'Con meant nothing snarky of it.

But security detail... If it were any other meeting besides the Conclave, he would likely find the detail insulting. A mech of his abilities playing security guard.... But for Megatron, that was a different story. That was an duty of honor. And honor was everything to Bludgeon.

"Of course, it is my honor, Reflector." He responded. "Megatron and the Conclave will have no interruptions at all."

>>"Skullgrin, Carnivac, Submarauder, report to the corridor outside the war room."<< He commed to his troops.

Alpha Hangar

One did not get to witness history in the making all that often. Today though, Blitzwing was pretty certain he was in that position. From the moment of a whirling maelstrom through space and time appearing before them and pulling them into a tunnel through transwarp - to the moment they entered into a vast hangar decorated with Decepticon symbolism. Yeah. He was pretty sure this was something big. No nausea. An instant transportation obviously over a great distance. Yeah. Pretty big.

Blitzwing transformed in mid-movement, skidding for a hundred feet or so before he came to a halt while Astrotrain and Octane landed in their alternative modes in far more controlled manner. Taking a look around his surroundings, Blitzwing decided there was little protection he could provide to Megatron and his comrades now. They were surrounded. He could survey hundreds of Cybertronians with Decepticon symbols on their chests waiting for their next move. It was always somewhat an unnerving feeling. A feeling he had had to own up ages ago. And truth to be told, there was no reason to be alert, wasn’t there?

Nay. Unless of course the intimidating black and gold giant with massive claws instead of hands standing before them along with his purple - pretty ominous looking crony, had decided it was time to shake up the Decepticon leadership hierarchy. Quite unlikely really. And well. There was little he could do if it was so. Yeah. Better leave it to Megatron to do the talking. Or shooting. Or whatever.

Sixshot’s star fighter alt mode emerged through the space bridge and into the hangar, having been caught up in the strange vortex when he had followed Astrotrain and his triple-changing brethren out of the Earth’s atmosphere just moments ago. He swiftly transformed into his winged wolf form and landed on the floor, bracing himself with all four clawed limbs as he skidded to a halt not far from where Blitzwing had settled. Astrotrain and Octane were not far away, either, still in their respective aerial alternate modes.

The STAG then returned to his robot mode and glanced around the massive hangar bay where hundreds of Decepticons stood surrounding the new arrivals. Many of those ‘Cons flinched more than just a little bit when they saw Sixshot in all his phase sixer glory. He wasn’t sure what ship he was on at first, but then the sixchanger noticed the unmistakable gargantuan shape of Lord Scorponok, who had not flinched, standing in front of all the others. It was very clear that he was now aboard the infamous Semper Tyrannis.

“Well, well. This just got a whole lot more interesting,” Sixshot muttered as he awaited whatever would happen next.

With a drink in each actuator, acquired from the bar, Wildfly said, “Several hundred vorns, hey? That’s not half bad. The last time I was even slightly competitive against Slog was when my best buddy Spree took up a position on my block—igniting a wondrous friendship between prisoner and guard where the fraghole tormented me and withheld my energon rations more often than I wished death on him.” Wildfly’s facial-plate darkened. “And I wished death on him a lot.” Then brightened. “Lucky for me, my wish was granted.”

Ah, if he could relive that moment again, killing Spree. A shock and a gasp and a squeal: he would. Again and again and again. And again.

But back to it.

Spree’s arrival on Wildfly’s cell block was some time ago. Icepick had nothing to worry about, with his tiny several hundred vorns. Compared to Wildfly’s losing streak—multiply those several hundred vorns by five and you had a fairly accurate equation to go from there—it was nuthin’.

How did he forget about losing to Slog for so long? Probably too occupied with losing to Icepick as well, he guessed.

Wildfly stood before Slog and Icepick, drinks held in his actuators. “These drinks look good.” He frowned at his team-mates, confusion marking his expression. “What did you two want?”

Chuckling, he offered them to Slog and Icepick. He looked forward to getting his own, on his return to the bar—perhaps two for the Pit of it. It wasn’t like celebrations of these proportions happened every day, and he knew the right decision lay in being an opportunist.

High-grade?

Yes, please.

Another?

Keep ‘em coming.

"Hah!" Icepick chortled, finishing his cylinder of semi-high-grade. "The staff of that prison were most certainly a mixed bag. Some of them held very close to the ideals they used to preach about on the vids back in the golden days. Some of them would make the DJD question their allegiance."

“These drinks look good. What did you two want?” Wildfly continued. Icepick waved him off, setting the extra drink on the countertop.

"No more for me, thanks. I'm starting to feel a bit, erm, surge-y as it is and I don't want to make it worse, heh. Besides, I'm curious to see what all this formal hoodoo is about, so I thinks me shall head to the hangar. Gentlemechs," Icepick said in parting to the other members of his team as he took his leave.

"Good," Reflector nodded. "I thought you and your comrades would be fitting for a need of this magnitude..."

Reflector trailed off, his optics looking up, as if into empty space for a moment.

"He just arrived," the spymaster said, before turning and entering the war room to finish the final arrangements.

Astrotrain was the first to open his cargo bay doors, allowing the passengers within the make their exit.

Flamewar emerged with the others and saw that Scorponok and a veritable army was present to greet them. Well, not them. Him. Such a grand show of Decepticon pageantry was ever really for their Supreme Leader.

And he was still aboard his personal transport. In this instance, Octane had the honor.

Greeting Scorponok with a professional and quick bow, Flamewar found her way to Sixshot's side. She had no doubts that he had executed Megatron's commands as flawlessly as he ever did, so there was no reason to even broach the subject. From here they would surely move to a new phase of the war.

“Well, well. This just got a whole lot more interesting,” she caught Sixshot saying, bringing a grin to her own metallic features.

"Much," she agreed.

Megatron's time within Octane's passenger bay had not been idle. He had been watching with a fair degree of curiosity the technical readouts that had come with Scorponok's utilization of a more advanced form of spacebridge technology. He sent a confirmation to Soundwave that everything was in order and then moved to disembark. Octane complied immediately as well.

The Decepticon fueler's oversized bay doors slid open and a long ramp emerged after he had taxied into position. For a few moments there was nothing.

The silence then gave way to metal steps being taken and two small, crimson optics piercing the shadows of Octane's shadowy bay. Megatron then emerged into full view and a roar of a approval erupted from the hundreds of gathered warriors, this being the first time they had seen their emperor directly in many a vorn.

Megatron grinned in satisfaction as he descended the ramp. Little pleased him more than seeing the warriors of his vision return from a victorious campaign. He raised one hand in greeting and the roar grew louder.

His optics then settled on his 2nd fleet general Scorponok and his chosen coterie as he finished his descent. He came to a stop just a meter or so away and awaited the same gesture that he had received from generals, justices, senators and soldiers alike. All kneel before Megatron. All hail Megatron.

All.
