Thanks to Javatronia Reviews, here is a great solution to the Deluxe Dinobot Slug's weapon storage. I hated the "wings" with the official storage in Dinobot mode. This looks far superior and gives a bit more length and size to the Dinobot mode.

I found a more subtle way of storing the weapons. One of them can fit between the back legs with the blade in the tail. The other can be gripped by the ribs. the one in the ribs fits really well and is very stable. The plastic of the ribs is just the right size and shape to accept it. I suspect that at some point in the design this was an official storage place. The one in the tail fits well too but is a bit more fiddly to get in. It adds a nice curved profile to the tail from the side though.
