Fellow Seibertronian and voice actor jON3.0 brings us another video review of an older figure, as seen through the eyes on none other than Optimus Prime himself! Check out the video below to find out how to win a Generations Goldfire, as Optimus has his way with the toy first.

What the heck? I left a comment on the video in the hopes of winning. He may be no Optimus Prime (who is?), but it is always good to have new things to review for my own Transformers review website, and I don't yet have any versions of this mold.

With all the Bumblebees we get, it's nice when they acknowledge the Goldbug part of his history.

THe name "Goldfire" seems like it should be a repaint of Jetfire... :-(

Well, this is by far not the only modern nod to Goldbug. We did get a legends version in the Reveal the Shield line.

And for those who cared enough to import Goldbugs from Japan, there was a gold repaint of the '06 Classics Bumblebee mold, and a gold repaint of Alternity Bumblebee.

The only Jetfire repaint I want is one done up in Skull-1 coloring! (But that might then get them in trouble with the oh so pleasant lawyers at Harmony Gold... So maybe not...)

So... don't enter. >:oP

Is it an awesome, must have toy? Not really. There's a reason that I don't own any version of this mold. Would it be fun to get for free? Hell yeah.

Well, I presume so. The contest is basically, "Leave a comment on the video for a chance to win the toy." I suppose, if jON3.0 wanted to, he could say, "Congratulations! That'll be $5.00 for shipping and handling!" But doing that without making that clear upfront would be a rather dickish move. While it isn't as if I know him personally, so anything is possible, jON3.0 doesn't strike me as a dick.

Yeah, that sucks. I wished they had a matte finish.

You're correct. I'm not. ;) And no, I don't charge for shipping. It's completely totally free. I buy them to make fun videos with and then either give them away as contest prizes or to my kids and occasionally resell them. I would have mentioned if there were any shipping costs.
