Shorter than Menasor, but looks more solid. Menasor suffers from bits that unpeg in combined mode, looks like Defensor may be a bit more stable. Can't wait for this one :)

I hate myself for not being able to afford all of these. But that's the struggle of a college kid. I'm saving up for which ever one I think is best, at the moment that looks like it's Superion.

i think rook would look better as a leg than an arm he's just too bulky
maybe switch first aid with him like how the g1 defensor was

I agree Rook is too blocky to serve as a proper 'arm'. I intend to swap him out with Streetwise (the car). First Aid and Rook both are blocky and will be much more symmetrical for the legs.

definitley a must haveeeeeeeee

although i'm seeing how hotspot can be remade into onslaught , i'm curious to see what the come up with to replace the ladder if they were to keep bruticus' head there

i had the stunticons, aerialbots, combaticons and constructicons as a kid. Of the remaining ones the protectabots were really the ones i wanted. Good thing i never got the generations repaint of grapple.

Last time Site sponsor Kapow Toys brought you a video review for Combiner Wars Hot Spot and a look at Defensor. Now they take a more in-depth look at the newbie in the bunch, Rook. Being the only true new mold of the Combiner Wars Protectobots he transforms into an armored SWAT vehicle.

Bombhsell had the same thing, with 'holes' in the fronts of his fists to make his hands look kind of like either hands, or cannons, but not exactly like either. Can't complain too much. After all, he has the autobot symbol actually stamped on his forehead - not many of the figures are THAT proud of their allegiance....

As if the head sculpt isn't bad enough, those fists are horrible. This guy might be worse than Alpha Bravo.

And considering Alpha Bravo is (in my opinion) the best made Aerialbot, that's not a problem. In fact, I like the look of Rook better than the other Protectobots (maybe besides Hot Spot).

Anybody else notice that Rook has the same leg transformation as Breakdown? That's very interesting.

thats simple, there will be a double barrel cannon on the back of onslaught which will probably hide bruticus's head somehow at least thats the most logical way i can see it go

This figure may be repainted into an Ironhide or a Bulkhead. Most likely if that will happen, it would be Takara's or BotCon's doing.

The figure is nice. But those holes, need to just go. I mean, how can someone live with holes in their hands? :BANG_HEAD:

I think I want 2.
One to keep pristine, the other to repaint into a Mako from Mass Effect

Rook (love the name) looks like a great figure. I'm sooooo not a Defensor fan but Hasbro seemed to really sell the sizzle on this combiner team and knocked it outta the park with , in all honesty and in my opinion, the most boooooring of all the combiners ever imagined to a point that a Defensor hater like myself needs to have one.
The head sculpt and that nose bar/guard thingy is a but peculiar but fits the aesthetic of the figure. Looks like a shiit kicker type of character.

What is with Hasbro and making decent hands??? This figure would've been perfect if not for this flaw. They did the same thing with Legends class Bombshell.

Doubt I'll be getting any repaints of this guy if they don't retool the fist.

Good grief y'all, if you plug in the combiner hands to those holes he's got HULK HANDS. Where's your sense of childish wonder and imagination?

I have menasor and I'm a bit disappointed in how floppy he is. It's hard for him to stand up and if you move the arms the whole top falls apart.

I do not have superion but i have heard he does not suffer from this problem.

I'm hoping defensor doesn't either because i have him on preorder! (the protectobots have always been my favorite)
