Well well well, what do I have here?

My first ever package coming from Mandrake.

Image

Let's not beat around the bush and see what's inside.

Image

IT'S BUBBLE WRAP! I FREAKING LOVE BUBBLE WRAP!

Image

Oh there's something else in this. And I have the feeling this is going to be awesome.

Image

HELL YEAH, MY HOLY GRAIL! The Rare Movie yoyager Starscream, Toshiba HD-DVD special Red Vardia edition!

TF Wiki wrote: --- Starscream Vardia Red Model (Toshiba exclusive Voyager-sized toy, 2007)
--- Accessories: Six missiles

In a joint venture by Paramount Home Entertainment Japan and electronics giant Toshiba, Starscream Vardia Red Model is an exclusive redeco of Voyager Starscream only available with Toshiba's new Vardia RD-A301 HD DVD recorder. The package also comes with an HD-DVD copy of Transformers, five HD DVD-R and five DVD-R discs.

Starscream Vardia Red Model is extremely red, with some gold, a little black and Toshiba Vardia markings on his hull. With the player costing 100,000 yen at the time, this may be the most expensive Transformers exclusive to be released in relatively large quantities.

It's the exact same box as the original american release. Except for some added stickers like the LIMITED one.

Image

This box is in very great condition.

Image

No blemishes, almost perfect. BTW, Mandrake ALWAYS say "box/packaging damaged" to avoid prissy customers.

Image

This toy is worth SO MUCH sealed. Between 250$ or even 300$!

So, what should I do?

Image

Did you even had to ask?

Image

Careful, careful... I must preserve that beautiful but hard to open box...

...

Aw, screw it.

Image

There, you MOFO, it's OPEN!

Image

Nail clippers are very useful against those annoying tie-wraps.

Image

Pinkstram is FREE!

Image

This is the only things from the box that I'll keep.

Image

Adios box! Go to your rightful place into the recycling bag!
(My cats say hi. =^^=)

Image

Many hate that mold, especially because of the THICK jet mode. I don't care. I always liked it for some reasons.

Image

Image

Image

It does have unique tampographs.

Image

Image

Image

I really LOVE that vehicle mode. Despite the obvious flaws. And it's a blast to transform. That auto-morph gimmich is very well done.

Image

As always, the bot mode is stocky but powerful looking. The only true flaw are the over sensitive finger-missilles that launch all the time, everytime.

Image

The HD-DVD logo is still visible, but for some odd reasons, no :CON: anywhere.

Image

KILLER light-piping!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Starscream can take some dynamic poses too.

Image

Image

How much did it cost on Mandrake? 200$? 300$?

How about around 126$CAN? SHIPPED!

Image

Pinkstream deserves a special place in my collection. I'm really glad that I have it! And thanks to shajaki for the hint! It's because of his keen eyes that I was able to find it for so cheap. Thanks again, dude!

Hell yeah! I'm very happy about it.

My next grail is to find the original MP-03 "greenish" Starscream. Ideally new for a reasonable price. I'd open the box. Transform him. Then I'l apply the stickers! Image

No problem, I love to see people achieve monumental pieces for their collection ;)^

As for Greenscream, I hate to tell you that you won't have much luck from Mandarake or Hobby Jungle. They're still pretty highly priced even there. I suggest you watch your local Kijiji's like a hawk, I've actually gotten a handful of MP's and other rarities. And I'll keep my eye open for one too ;)

Thanks again, dude! This was unexpected and really appreciated.

As for Greenscream... maybe I'll be lucky one day!

I think the best thing from this thread (not withstanding the review) was the picture of the cats as you were throwing the box out.

It's like they're staring at you going "what the ****? We could all fit in that!" :-P

K! You're a cat person too? My two tabby cats just are crazy for TF boxes! One even managed to fit in TL Megatron tank box. Don't ask me how but he did. Even the Fortmax, Penny and Tails are in competition who gets to sleep in first........without my knowing it when I was applying the decals
