Titans Return Blaster and why I am in the minority

EVERYONE seems to absolutely love this guy...except me. I mean, he is okay, but I have a few problems with him that are personal dislikes and a couple that I see as potential problems. I think he is a decent representation for collectors, barring him being way too big, beyond that though, I worry about his longevity for kids. I am just waiting for this guy to break (and I assume Soundwave too) See what I mean as I give a look at this guy from the minority perspective.

One opinion that is confusing. Too big? The G1 fig is more or less as tall as this. So aside from the Headmaster feature and new deployer modes, it's still him and the size.

You make a very valid point and if he fits your sensibilities, cool. However, even as a kid I felt like that Blaster was also ridiculously big. Obviously, that particular gripe might well be personal taste. I have always felt that both him and Soundwave work best as voyagers. Of course, mine is but only one opinion. I see your point though, especially if you use toy scale as your measuring stick.

And without that over sized frame of his, you wouldn't be able to use the original "micro cassettes" aka Rumble,Frenzy, Eject, Rewind etc (I also included SWs because of their shared gimmick, for both the original and modern versions of them.

Also, the original MicroChange Robo who would later be re purposed as Blaster/Broadcast was an actual working radio. So he had actual transistors etc within that big frame of his.

If you want a Deluxe Blaster buy the Unique toys one or the device label one.
If want a Voyager buy the Megasteel or FOC or Classics/Universe one.
If you want an Ultra use the original or one of his reissues
If you want a leader to match Megatron, PM Optimus, the "Seekers" and Soundwave etc... then this is the one to get.

He has some cracking fan mode potential too.

Yeah, it definitely depends on tastes. I wasn'the sure of the Megasteel size. I think my go to is FOC, though I have never had him. I find the Universe one is too off the mark. The TR looks mist accurate, but that size eats me up. As for his fan mode potential, ciuldn'the agree with you more, he sure does.

That is the best argument for the size. Still, I just never found he fit on. Naturally, a necessary evil.

Necessary evil. For the gimmicks etc. Yes.

He's definitely way, way too big as is Soundwave. My personal preference is that Deluxe is the regular size guys, Voyager should be the general leader types or bulkier types, and Leader size should be the big guys or supermodes of the smaller ones. Blaster for me would be voyager sized at most. Having him tower over so many of his comrades just looks ridiculous. And as a big expensive figure like this Titans he's just not very fun cos his boombox altmode doesn't justify the size at all. Shame the FoC figure is so ruined by that stupid launching gimmick and horrible round minions cos otherwise he'd probably be the best one for size and value./

I use TR minions with FOC Soundwave because it justifies their vehicle modes. Sure, it is stylized but they still look good together.
