Thanks to eagle-eyed Seibertronians LinaNui and -WonkoTheSane-, we can bring to you another video review of an upcoming figure, that of Earthrise Sunstreaker! It comes to us from telar reviewer TonTon, who covers one of the original Autobot cars in great detail, with a step-by-step transformation. While sharing remarkable similarities to Earthrise Wheeljack, along with a similar transformation scheme, it's currently not known if this is just a case of shared engineering, or just a very heavy retool. Check out the review below, and decide for yourself.

Retool or not, Sunstreaker is due out in the 4th quarter of this year, but given that we're almost 2/3 of the way through the year and Wave 2 still hasn't shown up at brick-and-mortar OR online retail, it's entirely possible that he'll show up with his wavemates Fasttrack, Trailbreaker, and Runamuck closer to the end of the year.

So what do you like or dislike about this figure? Feel free to comment or below, and stay tuned for the latest in Transformers news!

I think it's just similar engineering. There are no shared parts.

I seriously hope that it's just the camera.. but I know that it's not... in that the yellow paint is so jarringly different looking than the yellow color plastic that the rest of the body is. I get that it's difficult to color match sometimes, but this just looks really disappointing.. with the hollow legs and lack of spoiler parts and no weapon... this is a hugely disappointing figure for such an anticipated character in what has been an otherwise stellar toyline so far... very disappointing...

Split windshields on vehicle mode is ruining the car for me, I was going to wait for an earthmode sideswipe to get Sunstreaker but the way it splits kind of ruins an earth looking mode so i'll stick with classics until I eventually get a G1 toy of him.

...Am I the only one that actually really likes Sunstreaker?

No. I can live with a little paint mismatch. It's just a toy. The only thing I'd say is if there's an upgrade kit for more 'accurate' weaponry and maybe a spoiler I'll spring for it.

The lack of a spoiler is seriously questionable, especially given the source material. Still a definite buy, some one will do an upgrade kit.

Yeah, that windshield is terrible looking.

Agreed, the lack of weapons is really my only major problem with this figure, just like Wheeljack before it.
