Nice review, but I think you missed a small part of transforming him into robot mode.
There is a little panel on a body where the tail pulls out that flip back towards the head to fill in part of the gap from the head.
Overall, this is probably my favorite character so far and looks great next to Crankcase. Only part that disappoints is that the hands are so visible in plane mode.
