McDonalds.co.jp has posted a new commercial for their Dark Of The Moon happy meal toy tie-in. You can see the video here.

There are two different kinds of toys. Both sets feature Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. The first set of toys feature an auto-transform gimmick similar to Robo Power Activators. The other set features lights and sounds.

Youtube user Bonorenosan has uploaded a video of the Optimus Prime figure that features lights and sounds. You can see it embedded below.

I Miss back when the happy meal TFs actually transformed... Beast wars was the best, and I Still have a few of those over sized fully combined armada bots, but they look headless, so whatever...

I would have thought the Japanese would be the last people to market Transformers that dont even transform. At least make him turn into a big mac or something...

you know for once, I completely agree with you X, this "Kids Meal" Stuff isn't fun, it's just a cry for help! I mean, would you want your kid to get a loud annoying little semi posable lump of plastic with his fast food, or would you rather take him to the toy isle, and show him what a REAL transformer is? I Remember, I don't have a kid, but I remember one time, I was doing this shift at wal mart, and this couple came in, they had this little kid...
they said: Excuse me sir, can you help us?
I Said: Sure, what are you looking for today?
The parents looked at me, looked at they're little boy, and the mom, or aunt, or grandma, I couldn't tell, said, I don't know, Every toy weve ever gotten this boy has never been right! he can't stand legos, and those hotwheel tracks take so long to build, and they don't do anything.
I was so surprised. She didnt mention once: And the transformers we got him were to complicated, or, they never have the transformer he wants! I showed them transformers. the little kid looked at one and said "I Like this one!" It was classics Starscream! I said, Good choice! you'll have lots of fun with him! They all looked at me and in a tv picture perfect moment, all said "Him?"
they were alittle dissapointed when they had to pay $10 for a jet, and they didnt know "Were the winged man was". they brought it back two days later, a toy jet, Surprisingly, still with both null rays AND missiles! they said he got bored with it.
I was dumbfounded.
I walked them out front during my lunch break, sat them all down on a round family table, and said "Watch Closely" I flipped and pulled and tugged and they just looked so confused, but the kid was beside himself! He loved it! he learned it in an hour's time and they left the store with a classic's bumblebee, voyager optimus, and jetfire. Freakin shelfwarmer jetfire! that kid was sooo happy! I never saw them again after that, but Iv'e got a feeling I made a collector outa that kid, and a believer out of his parents! heck, If my first reaction was anything like that kid's, hen you gotta beleive it when I say these are just dissapointing...
Show the kids real bots!!! I mean, even before the movies, kids loved transformers! It's the whole reason theyre still around! not these things. these arent transformers, theyre, well, IDK What they are! Terrable! that's what!
