That's amazing work mate, especially for your first custom. Was the inspiration for robot mode the Takara Welcome to 2010 version?

Thanks for the feedback. The colour scheme just evolved as I went along. Blue was my favourite colour so I just went along with that.

Lol, fair enough. Working on impulse has certainly worked out. May I ask how you went about painting the details? Please tell me it wasn't just a steady hand.

It was all freehand work using dry brushing and steady hands. For some areas I masked the area around so that I wouldn't paint the wrong part. I really ought to get into airbrushing but I am still not ready for that.
