What was his English name? Burn?

He was never released outside of Japan, much like the figure he was based on: Flash Titan from Choushinsei Flashman, a Super Sentai series.

DX Flash Titan on ToyBoxDX.

Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos had several other toys "borrowed" from other Bandai lines, much like how Microman "borrows" from Transformers  Examples include:

DX Baikanfu from DX Gordian (Toshi Gordian)
Variagle-X from Big Scale Jaguar Vulcan (Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan)
The Dash Robo from the Winch Robo line (aka Gobots Secret Riders)

I laughed, but really, so many transforming figures back then had the derpiest proportions, if one was made to look like you, I'm sure it'd look much better than most of the figs back then

I mean, you couldn't get any worse than 'Tiny-Head-McTorso-Elbows' over here:

Blame the fact there's one language that does not translate well on the internet: Jokinese.

That's the only person we can make fun of, right?

I mean ourselves, not Burn... :-s

But, part of me wants to create a Wiki article of a bot named Burn now...

(P.S. I wonder how many of us that would actually describe, eh Burn? I'm taller than average, but the rest was pretty much spot on...)

It's true tho. In 2000 or so, Microman borrowed the G1 Rocket Base, AM Prime's Armored Convoy and both G2 Laser Cycles ;)

Super Car Robo. Most Machine Robo had rather generic names, especially the smaller 600 series. Only the Devil Invaders, the Battle Hackers and the "borrowed" toys had more unique names.

An alternate parsing could be "Supercar Robo", emphasizing that he's a "Robo" that turns into a "Supercar" rather than him been the "Super" version of a "Car Robo". ;)

He might be chunky, but he sure is a biggun'.

As for his English name, he wasn't in the GoBots line, so he has no English name.

He was originally a mold from Bandai's Choushinsei Flashman series (the 10th Super Sentai series), and was added to the Machine Robo line when MR got relaunched in Japan in 1986 for the Revenge of Chronos anime, which came about after the GoBots cartoon and toyline were dying down in the West. By this point, Bandai was fully heading the MR line, while Tonka's GoBots line was on its last leg, so Pro Truck Racer remains one of the many Japanese-only figures that came about after GoBots ended.

Finally I get to meet a person who knows about Machine Robo RoC. Most of the episodes had beautiful animation. I have the entire series fansubbed years ago. I also have the rare series Machine Robo Battle Hackers as well. It's a semi-decent sequel and many of the cast return though the animation quality and story dwindles as it progresses. However Blue Jet and rod Drill are not the main stars as well as both Rom and Leina being absent completely accept for flashbacks

I've been looking to get Battle Hackers for a long time. Never found it subbed. Where did you get it?

I only have 5 episodes of Battle Hackers fan subbed from a guy from NYC who used to advertise fansubs for Dragon Ball GT back in the late '90s. I bought the first 18 episodes of Machine Robo and he sent Battle Hackers as a bonus on VHS. I now have the whole series of Revenge of Chronos fan subbed, and Battle Hackers is raw

Just creeping around the forums, don't mind me.

I feel like some of these molds would have fit pretty darn well in the CW/UW lines if fitted with the combiner ratchet deal and a 5mm port for the HFGs. Looking at Spay C in particular since the announcement of Takara's Blast Off.

Did anything ever come of these guys or is it yet to be seen? Because they're pretty rad. I don't get too much into Gobots, but I do have a complete Puzzler on my shelves.

Cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for them. I really dig the jets.
