But what strike my fancy are those neat Thunderbird dioramas. I'd like to see detailed pictures of your setup.

They are actually a single powered diorama of the entire island, but they all go unopened into the closet. Still busy with my house so no place to display stuff.
It's a weekly partswork thing from DeAgostini, in the same vein as the huge TB2 that i completed a few years ago. You get a magazine with building instructions and some parts. 110 issues in total.

See how much Snake Eyes jumped on the secondary market really made me question opening him.... but he’s amazing and has the preferred deco and accessories compared to the retail release.

The waist/hips on mine wiggle a bit, but that actually reminds me of the old 3.75 line. Hasbro really nailed it with the premium packaging. Makes me wish I’d spring for cobra commander (though I think I prefer the retail deco on him).

Spiderman in a mech suit. It's pretty hilarious when you think about it. Like Superman in a sports car.

On my end, I got a used Taeyang Joker.

He's now redressed as the Ringmaster of my Freak Circus!

Well I got a unnamed mystery parcel today, sadly it wasn't from china nor did it contain seeds (which I would have liked and know for 100% sure that I cant grow anything but it might have been nice to try). It was the Quran. Translated by ONE person. Man, even the Bible had mutlipe Gideons translate it.

My second Figma, Shimakaze!

Image

She was a tag along with my friend's Transformers he ordered via Mandarake. I've been eying her for a long time and at 2K yen used, it was time to strike.

Shimakaze come with 3 cute little minions. The big one being the only one with joints.

Image

As expected, Shimakaze is SEXINESS incarnate. And for her to have the... hahem... essentials present at that tiny scale is impressive.

Image

Highly posable, she have 3 faces and so many pair of spare hands, allowing for so many poses! I love that particular one:

Image

Well worth the money.

Maybe I should go for the "damaged" version next. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If you're looking for something between cute/naughty. I'd recommend the old Revoltech Queen's Gate figures. I think I've used Gatekeepr Alice with some fun seasonal photos of the Halloween Botsbots.

I once owned Queen's Blade Revoltechs some years ago. But I didn't like the feeling and they were ridiculously fragile. I sold them all. This is also why I waited so long for getting any Figma.

They look nice though. I'll have to look up some video reviews.

Things from Mandarake now come at normal speed at last.

So here's a figure that I wanted for a long time, but didn't want to pay 200$+ for:

The OTAKU MODE TOKYO Kizuna Ai 1/7 figure!
At 8K yen plus shipping brand new, it was time to strike.

Image

I love Kizuna Ai, one of the very first V-Tuber. The figure is based on her very first promo picture.

The details and paint are amazing and she truly come to life here. My only complain is that for a 1/7 figure, she feel more like a 1/8 figure because she is really tiny compared to my 1/7 GSC Miku figures.

No regret though. The prices and availability for her made her hard to get for a while. I bid my time and it paid! :)

So I pre-ordered this guy:

Image

NECA TMNT Super Shredder

As he was literally the best thing in the entire second film. But now comes my usual dilemma, do I go all in and get the other Shredder variants? :???:

Plus, I wonder if they ever revisited this idea in latter TMNT media? :-?

Kind of, he became Super Shredder in the last nickleodeon CGI series (I pretty much ignore the last cartoon completely) TMNT has been recycling ideas for decades pretty much.

Interesting.

It is funny that when you look at it, Super Shredder didn't make sense at all. I'm pretty sure Mutagen hasn't done that to a base human before. Plus it made his spikes grow, because...?

Supposedly taking traits of the last animal/animal most in contact with then the turtles should be turtlerats and super shredder would have been half wolf/turtle or something. Mutagens never really made sense. Easier to not think about it. the original comics had all kinds of shredder clones that it never really explained, they were just there to look cool for three seconds of a comic page.

Also the Nickleodeon CGI series had a cat mutated with Icecream -which was honestly creepy and awesome in equal measures and the show was still worth watching with a literall living abomination. Not sure if it ever got a figure or came with Mikey but it should have.

I liked the 200X cartoons creativity with Shredder not being human -just the cyber body for a Utrom/Krang.

Finally found the Blue Dinocharge ranger, which completes my set of 10. Found him in a thrift store amongst a bag filled with Turtles and other junk.

Also, bought some Dark Knights (these are evil Batmen from nightmare dimensions). Really beautiful figures.

Finding a missing part of a collection randomly in a thrift store is pretty damn lucky.
Congrats!

So I paid a few pre-orders lately. Profit Director Destro (the others are conspicuous by their absence) and by the newest Hasbro Pulse announcement, Snake Supreme Cobra Commander. I made sure I got in on the ground floor with him. As I'm still missing the Regal variant. That will be that for GI Joe collecting as I only like CC and Destro. I did consider Zartan too. But when the figure was announced, he has a hood I just don't care for. I am aware that is accurate for him, but it wasn't part of his look in the cartoon I knew him from.

Meanwhile, TMNT took a weird tangent. Half tempted to cancel Super Shredder, as I saw Rocksteady and Bebop in the flesh. As they are readily available I might get the cartoon wave instead : Krang, Shredder, R & B and a couple Footsoldiers. They will make a nice colourful shelf display, if nothing else.

I am keeping an eye out for NECA to do my favourite Mutant design - Baxter The Fly. Plus Krang's android body.

It was in the original 80's cartoon. I don't know of any other cartoons?

Image

Granted, it kinda looks like hair, but it is in fact his hood.
I believe Zartan was my very first G.I. Joe figure :D

It took a little bit of doing but got some Cobra!!! and power ranger 'villains'. Not collecting good guys should help keep my spends in check, maybe.

Power rangers dino White thunder (the other item I had in my basket disappeared at check out so the next day I try to order something and white Dino had gone... fortunately retail had him on the shelves at retail price a few day later)

Snake supreme cobra commander

Not having anything to bulk up order for free postage, I added Goldar (wingless), I figure they will do a larger version with wings from the King sphinx later on.

And from some weeks before

Profit director Destro.

Fingers crossed my cobra island order comes through at some point.

I recently grew my Toy Story collection with a new Woody:
Image
Doesn't currently work, but I've always wanted a movie-size Woody with an actual pullstring voicebox (my only other Woody doll is the somewhat oversize Strummin' Singin' Woody, whose hat this one is borrowing).
