In the anime did blue jet use two swords or just one?

I've got a friend that is really into Fliers. So, after some fruitless searching for quite some time. I noticed this thread and thought to ask here.

Action Toys Machine Robo MR-06 Blackbird

Why does this one not exist to buy, anywhere???

It probably sold out. Fear not, Tank Robo is getting reissued so maybe Blackbird Robo will get one down the line.

Hopefully so. I've been trying to source him for a couple years now. Blackbird Robo doesn't even seem to exist on the secondary market either. It is really strange to see anything that doesn't pop up once on eBay.

I missed out on the train robo...
He too, "no longer exist". :(

Exactly. Maybe we are just spoiled by HasTak, but the supply for Machine Robo seems extremely limited. In direct contrast to Transformers however, Bike Robo and Eagle Robo (Cykill and Leader One, respectively) are still found in abundance. The popular characters appear to be the shelfwarmers???

I regret not having preordered at all.

Who knew that was a literal "one shot deal"?

Keep in mind that it's a smaller company handling these, rather than Bandai proper.

Apparently, Action Toys are the same people who used to make 3rd party kits and figures under the name Fans Project. Nice to see they're able to make more mainstream products. You might want to try Amazon Japan and other Japan-only sites to try and find them.

Amazon Japan doesn't even recognise "Machine Robo". It is pot luck at this point, I guess. Funnily enough I bought Loco Robo for a friend who is into trains. Everyone was quite impressed with how good the altmode etc looked, when it arrived. The fact that they are also 3P would explain why.

They don't but you might find some 3rd party listing for some of the figures. Action Toys isn't 3P anymore, they've gone totally legit, I think they even make some licensed Transformer figures.

Wait, really?! Holy cow, I always wondered what happened to Fansproject! I mean if true.

I know, I hope it is true but I've only heard one source claim that. I really liked Fansproject as I felt they really weren't trying to infringe on trademarks but make their own toys that did the same thing.

Why "Action Toys"?
That name make searching anything a real pain in the ass. #-o

I did a purge of most of my third-party toys, just not enjoying them. I did keep Fansproject's City Commander, Protector, and Crossfire upgrade kits, though. :D

Anyway, I've gotten pretty much all of these Machine Robo figures and love them. I just wish they weren't limited to characters that only appeared in the anime. :(

It's those rights issues

It's because they licensed the rights specifically to the anime characters. Rather than Bandai, they got the rights for this line from Ashi Productions.

Didn't feel like starting a third(?) Machine Robo thread so I'm posting this here. Looks like Megahouse (part of Bandai) is making new Machine Robo figures. They're around 5" tall and have extra parts. Not only are they about the size of a Deluxe Transformer, AmiAmi has them priced nearly the same as well ($26). Where Action Toys was upgrading the original toys these have more of an anime (Revenge of Chronos) look to them. First up is Rod Drill with extra hands, heads and replaceable drill. I think the head that we see on the figure with the more defined ridges might actually change by spinning the face around, it looks like it's cut out around the face, while the other two are for anime accuracy and all one piece. I don't know that it's better than the Action Toys version, but it is priced better.

Looks like the pre-orders are timed and wont actually open until Midnight 7/7 in Japan (so around mid day today for many of us).

I would not mind a line in that scale, that looks nice and I'd like to see some cheaper new Gobots
