I found pics of this on an old website that had this toy listed for show.. I really want this now, and I wonder if there is a way to recreate it in a slightly larger scale for the Masterpiece Line up. If I had the originals, and the directions, I could contact a custom printing company to get it done.. Do you guys think this would be cool to have in a Masterpiece scale? Or do you think just having the backdrops and floor tiles from www.toyhax.com are good enough? This base kinda reminds me of the old school bases from back in the day with GI joe, or Star Trek Megos..

Anyone own one of these? How sturdy are they, and how thick is the cardboard.. I would laminate mine so it would last forever, but I would have to make sure it still could plug together..

Did they ever reissue this??? It looks like it would fit for those who own classics.. But I prefer to use it with Masterpiece since that is all I am collecting..

this playset just looks fun!! did anyone here have one? I think I had one for maybe 2 weeks, and my mother sold it at a Garage Sale!! :BOOM:

If they did rerelease it, They should do one for autobots and release in golden colors, and a decepticon one in Purples like the show..

The above pic is my favorite.. Look at how cool that looks!!!

I just thought of something, that base would be cool for a diorama of the Movie.. with the 30th Anniversary, they could release that, with the launcher that hit devastator as a commemorative autobot city release.. and the 30th Anniversary DVD..that would be an awesome sight!! I would buy 3 of them.. 1 to keep, 1 to display, and 1 to sell later on ebay!

Why doesn't Hasbro do stuff Like that anymore.. I mean for kids, the ability to have a base just made the imagination experience much more enjoyable..

I hate you! Playsets...I just love playsets because I never owned one except for the G1 cityformers with the exception of Scorponok. Seriously...this is one of the things what made the original G1 releases back in the 80s great! The licensed products like the playsets, S.T.A.R.S., the transforming working Soundwave player etc. ;)^

Btw, this is/was an official product so this should be in the official thread.

I just realized you're right about playsets, Skywarp. They make them for preschool-age toy lines (Imaginext, Superhero Squad, and even Rescue Bots), but not really for the older, grade school-age kids any more. Weird; wonder why that is.
