At least we are starting to get some season 2 info that may be credible. Would be kinda disappointed if they end after only 2 seasons though, but still leads us to something else to come :BOT:

Well, I would have thought so, too. But what is very interesting to me was that I always thought that Strongarm is the spiritual successor to Arcee, Grimlock to Bulkhead, Fixit to Ratchet, and Sideswipe to Rodimus, due to their personalities and their duties. Would you rather consider these as such? :BOT:

Uh, Rodimus wasn't in TF: Prime.

You're right that Rodimus wasn't in Prime. But in case you haven't noticed, this Sideswipe is not the same one from G1, despite their G1 looks and colors. RID Sideswipe's personality is much more related to Rodimus (otherwise known as Hot Rod), which is why he is the spiritual successor to Rodimus. :BOT:

But you were naming Prime characters. Why name Rodimus instead of Smokescreen?

And, if you ever read G1 Sideswipe's official bio, you'd see that RID Sideswipe more closely resembles what's written in that bio than any other Sideswipe ever.

I've never really thought of the successors thing. I just like the characters and a 5, then 6 then 8 member team is just a nice trend :BOT:

I thought the characters were intended to be polar opposites of Team Prime in that they are less experienced and reserved than their earlier counterparts, which would reflect the vastly different tone and outlook of the series.

Yeah, I like how the new cast is more fun than the old cast, allowing them to get into more mischief and antics and butt heads with each other more often, whereas Team Prime only really got that kind of good stuff when the wonderfulness that was Smokescreen joined up.

Calling him "wonderful" is "making fun of him"? Image

He was the best Autobot in the show.

We all do know that Quillfire is an anarchist. But I was just wondering if he is also an animal rights activist or not? Because of one of his quotes from the series, this is what he says:

"Yes, I understand you're overwhelmed by the prospect of freedom, but you can't stay in this cage out of fear!"

Basically, what this means is that the term "You" represents all animals and the term "Cage" represents the zoo, which could mean that he is opposed to all zoos and circuses. This is exactly what animal rights groups do for a living. They wanted to make sure that all zoos and circuses are closed down, as they compared them to Nazis and animals to ethnic minorities.

Translation, Thunderhoof, Steeljaw, and Clampdown and many other might choose to live in the zoo, but Quillfire doesn't.

But whether or not Quillfire is an animal rights activist, you decide. :CON:

You're overthinking every single character in this series psj, the writers really don't put that much thought or symbolism into any characters.

psj333 wrote:Basically, what this means is that the term "You" represents all animals and the term "Cage" represents the zoo, which could mean that he is opposed to all zoos and circuses.

Yeah, we noticed. We've all taken English courses, we know about metaphors and similes...

psj333 wrote:This is exactly what animal rights groups do for a living.

That is a broad generalization, not all animal rights groups are dedicated to shutting down zoos, circuses, definitely, but zoos, especially high-end ones, are what are keeping some animals from disappearing off our planet completely.

psj333 wrote:Translation, Thunderhoof, Steeljaw, and Clampdown and many other might choose to live in the zoo, but Quillfire doesn't.

Two things

One: Not a translation at all, it's a completely different line of thought.
Two: I don't think any criminally associated 45 foot alien robots would live in a zoo.

psj333 wrote:But whether or not Quillfire is an animal rights activist, you decide.

*Sigh* does it even really matter?

If every country has zoos, then so is Cybertron. These animals whether heroic or criminal chooses to live in zoos or perform in circuses is up to them. That's because these animals are Cybertronian. Have you ever been to Cybertron before? :BOT: :CON:

"a more confident, battle-tested Bumblebee"

Because Bumblebee, Defeater of Megatron, Slayer of Skyquake, Tamer of Predaking (sorta), Surviving Assailant of Trypticon and Slaughterer of Vehicons was apparently not battle-tested before this series began. Somehow.
