Man, I dunno about this series...I really liked Prime, but the transition of the art style is really jarring here. I get that the mood is probably gonna shift from the darker Prime to a more lighthearted series but still, something about Prime's art style doesn't feel right transitioned over to 2D...though I don't even know if this IS 2D, it looks so odd. I could get into both Animated and Prime's more stylized art but this...I'm not sure. I'll reserve judgement until I see more previews and such...

It's not 2D. It's cel-shaded CGI.

Think cartoon animation like Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, Dragon Booster, Di-Gata Defenders, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Tron: Uprising, etc.

After watching the trailer for the new Transformers: Robot In Disguise cartoon series for 2015, I have notice that a blue and white Autobot who transforms into a police pickup believed to be the Elite Guard cadet. Its appearance is believed to be based on a female bodybuilder due to the name, Strongarm, :BOT: that is given. Whether or not this is case, a lot of people have suggested that Strongarm will be the spiritual successor to Arcee in Transformers: Prime. Does that means that we won't be seeing Arcee in Robots In Diguise, or will she show up along with Strongarm?

After viewing the Underbite toy from the 2014 SDCC, he transforms into a futuristic vehicle that is described as a hybrid of a Formula One car and a tank of sorts. Because he is a Dinobot, his beast mode is in fact a dinosaur. Unfortunately, for him, he does not have a robot mode. According to ToyArk.com, the Dinobot that will be part of Bumbleebee's team will be Grimlock, which is actually a Underbite repaint, only green instead of purple. As reported earlier, the Dinobots will show up in the 2015 cartoon. Because of the forms that Underbite and Grimlock took, does that mean that the Dinobots will all have vehicle modes, but abandon their robot modes, or these features are only reserved for Underbite and Grimlock? :CON:

Will Megatron return in Robots In Disguise as head of the Decepticons, or will a new leader replace him as the new leader? :CON:

I say let Megatron enjoy his retirement. Time for some fresh blood in the decpticon leadership. Maybe they'll use Galvatron as well.

It makes no sense for Grimlock to share a mold with Underbite since in the TF:Prime continuity Grimlock has a robot mode and doesn't have a vehicle mode. Nor does it make sense for Grimlock to be part of Bee's team instead of Underbite.

And why are people assuming that Strongarm is female? Certainly doesn't look female.

We are not assuming. We were told she is a female at SDCC, and she plainly has lipstick lips on her face in the preview video.

Lipstick on his face eh? :P talk about mixed messages  plus strongarm has been said to be a female bodybuilder, hence the not usual fembot look.

The last outing Transformers had with Cel Shaded CGI didn't go so well, though once again I withhold judgement. I'm cautiously optimistic about this series. Hope it doesn't come back to bite me.

The differences this time is that it's western animation rather than anime. And, this time, it looks to be all cel-shaded CGI rather than half cel-shaded CGI/half 2D.

The only real issue people took with the animation of Transformers Go! was its lack of facial expressions for the robot characters.

I was referring to Energon but yeah. I dunno maybe It'll be like TFA; it looks weird at first but I'll end up growing to love it.

Cybertron was cel-shaded CGI too. Just lightyears better than Energon's.

All depends on the writing quality, as this is the same team who gave us Prime and Rescue Bots, and both of them were/are of a particularly high caliber. ;)

Out of the Unicron Trilogy,I liked Cybertron the most visually. This reminds me of it,and I did enjoy Prime,so I'm looking forward to it.

It's funny how people on both Seibertron and TFW2005 keep calling Strongarm (who's basically a larger version of TF:Prime Arcee) a bodybuilder and comparing her to Strika (who barely looks humanoid, let alone feminine) simply because she isn't another generic super-thin fembot.

Pfft, "bodybuilder".

Beast Machines Optimus Primal looked like a bodybuilder. Strongarm's just got a standard non-supermodel body.

(btw, this post is in agreement with yours, rather than against it)

I was under the assumption that the description was given in press releases :???:

If not though I can sorta see the logical hoops people would have jumped through. We have a fem bot who doesn't look at all like fem bots the fandom are used to. The question becomes why is she different then other fembots? Sooner or later one person will suggest something along the lines of "gee, maybe she's a bodybuilder, that's why she's so beefed up!". People will like it because it's actually something they could see happening.

Of course if it was an offical source then I just wasted my time typing that
