At last, after 15 years of waiting, we no longer have to rely on low res VHS tape quality videos.

Note that these are raws, meaning they are unaltered from the source media and contain no subtitles.

Beast Wars II - http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=568569

Beast Wars Neo - http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=569060

The BWII movie is also included in the first one.

That's cool stuff. I'll patiently wait for subs on these.

Considering no one has subbed more than a half-dozen episodes or so in almost twenty years, I doubt they'll sub them now, even with DVD-quality source material.

Which is of course not to say I don't want them to sub the series. I do, because I finally saw both series in their raw format on youtube last year, and even with the language barrier I can kinda understand why no one's subbed them.

Beast Wars II is a very toy-centric series with uneven animation and wacky characters. However, I did kinda get into the more light-hearted style of it after awhile and despite the characters appearing off model quite a bit I did enjoy the action, and despite being a tad over the top I enjoyed the characters themselves(from what I could gather about their personalities). I'd like to see it subbed because I want to know more about the characters, and more about the story in general.

Beast Wars Neo on the other hand....yeah, in raw format it was a chore to sit through. The art style was a lot more consistent I'll give it that, but as far as "animation" was concerned, it was rather dull, and the language barrier did prevent more from getting into the characters more, because Neo seemed like a more dialogue heavy series. Subs could enhance my view of the series, but I enjoyed II more overall(and the music in II was better than in Neo as well, if I remember right).

At this point, any hope for subs for these two can only come from fansubbing groups.

A small glimmer of hope from this is that the guy who headed the recent Car Robots fansubs, Kary, did see these BWII and Neo raws and immediately downloaded them. So they are at least in the possession of a fansubber. Time will tell if anything might come about from this.

Meanwhile, there's also the last half of Go! that needs to get its subbing finished.
