So what was that big fuss over Hoist the Flag all about?
So I'm aware that the recent Timelines exclusive comic caused a massive fuss for some reason, but I can't actually find out what the fuss was actually about.
I haven't actually read the comic, and TFWiki doesn't seem to mention anything out of the ordinary (which is odd as they're usually good at mentioning fan reactions to stuff, especially one-off comics)...all I know is some people were upset over it. The only thing I can find out that might have something to do with it is that one of the artists (Hayato Sakamoto or something) used to do yaoi/crossdressing hentai...which doesn't seem that big a thing to get worked up about, seeing as basically everyone in the comics/manga industry has tried their hand at porn (even the guy behind Yotsuba&! and Azumanga Daioh did a few unsavoury one-shots...). His art certainly seems pretty decent, so it can't be a horrendous art quality/Pat Lee type affair. Was the story a bit ****? I'm honestly confused.
Can anyone shed some light on what this was all over?
