Episode 1 of Q Transformers is online:

Never thought I'd ever see a TF cartoon that was self-aware of its being a vehicle for toy advertisement.

Thanks to tips from fellow Seibertron.com user Sabrblade, we can share the first two episodes of the Transformers Q videos from Takara Tomy. The first episode is summarised below by Sabrblade, and features Bumblebee, Lockdown and Optimus Prime discussing the Transformers toys and the 30th - while the second discusses the Mystery of Convoy game, and Transformers games in general. Check them both out below!

"30-Shūnen Shōhin no Nazo" (The Mystery of the 30th Anniversary Merchandise).

The gist of the episode is that Bumblebee, Lockdown, and Optimus talk about how it's now the 30th anniversary of the brand, how the Q Transformers toys are "cutie" (QT) versions of the Transformers, and then discuss what would happen in cases that would try to make Transformers cuter (along with their own reactions, be they silly or horrified).

"Kakujitsu na Kusogee no Nazo" (The Mystery of a Game That Certainly Stinks). (Kusogee or kuso-game literally "crappy games.")

There's a part of the series title missing. The show's full name is "Q-Transformers: Kaettekita Convoy no Nazo" (meaning: "Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns").

As for what's going on in episode 2, they start talking about how bad the Mystery of Convoy game is, and then get to discussing other games that are even worse.

I gotta love the irony of how the theme song is pretty much this hardcore metal theme yet it's used for a series that's literally a "Cute Transformers" series.

I actually kind of hope somebody subs this, ;) I'm surprised by how actually cute the little animations are...might be time to break my rule of No-SD-figures. :-$

(am I the only one who got a distinct Den-O impression from their argument? :-? )

More irony: They're talking about silly stuff, yet their discussions are fairly serious and straightforward, reacting aptly to the sillier ideas with either educated amusement or appalled bewilderment.

The episode 1 argument or the episode 2 argument?

Just out of curiosity, does anybody have a translation of these? And could somebody point me in the direction of where to find the intro song?

I wish each episode wouldn't be switched to a private video after each one is succeeded by the next episode, as I missed the previous three episodes before this one.

Whoa, major cast change. Bumble's the only one left with Hot Rodimus and Ultra Magnus in place of Optimus and Lockdown.

Poor Magnus, having been the star of such a terrible game.

And not even the same Bumblebee (who here is called Bumble) this one is a separate Bumblebee then the one from the previous episodes who first showed up in the last one.

No, last episode showed him to be the same guy with a new look. He and Convoy (who also changed from his Optimus Prime look and name) talked with Lockdown about how their new looks came with different names, which led them to talking about the differences between the old Japanese G1 names and the current use of the Hasbro names in Japan. His voice actor's the same as well.
